I don't see why Apple should discriminate between the $29 version and the UTD program. If there were any difference in shipping dates/delays they should have made it clear and people would have ordered the regular disk instead.

And the point is YOU WILL GET YOUR DISC. It says it will be shipped out BY TODAY right? I bet it will. If it isn't then go complain to Apple. But don't complain because you're not getting it the day it say will be shipped out by.
But there are people in the UTD program that are receiving their discs today?
Won't be here til the 1st. Wonder why they skipped over there UTD customers to serve retail customers. I guess Apple doesn't give a crap about you. I should have known that based on the shoddy customer service i've gotten in the past. It's all about cutting corners.
I'm in the UTD boat and it says shipped by USPS and delivers Sept 1. I should of spent the extra cash and got it sooner. Hopefully Apple surprises me by having it delivered to my front door step sometime today.

My UTD order has arrived today, however I was out and it is being held at the Post Office.
I'm pleased it's arrived, of course, but I'm just not that bothered, as I am waiting for M-Audio to release SL drivers for my audio interface. Which means I'll be installing sometime in the 12 months!

It seems like there are people with UTD orders receiving their discs and there are people with the $29 that are NOT receiving them.

I ordered both the family and retail discs. For the cost its well worth it, the family disc is for my macs and the retail is for my niece.
I'm actually a little annoyed with Apple. I originally pre-ordered my Family Pack and scheduled to have it shipped to my wife at her work thinking it will need to be signed for. After confirming the order I see that it's suppose to ship via the US Postal Service, so I canceled the order and re-ordered having it shipped to my house instead. Then yesterday I get a confirmation from Apple the my order shipped... by FedEx and an indirect signature is required! Unfortunately I won't be home to receive it so I won't get it until Monday. Blast!
My Status just updated to say that it shipped Aug 27th via USPS. Arrives Sept 1st. The mail man has already been here, so I guess I'm waiting at least until tomorrow. No big deal, I have to do some legitimate work on my computer today and tonight so I wouldn't have been able to install today anyway. Looking forward mostly to the Exchange integration, and since nobody's gonna email me after 2:00 PM on a Friday, it's kind of moot. I did see 3 copies at Best Buy today, but they were in a display stand on the Mac table that only holds 3 and they didn't have a price on them, so maybe they were just for show. I kind of expected a large shelf of them at BB. I didn't read the 36 pages of replies, is this the kind of mail I have to sign for? It looked like it was just standard shipping.
This sux, the US isn't getting shipments today, just people outside the US. Damn, Apple is a US company, why are we getting them after everyone else? Should've just drove to my local Apple store and picked one up. The up-to-date wasn't a ton of savings anyway.
