What do you guys think would you go for ? the Space Gray Colour or the Silver rMBP ? which looks chic ? I am confused !! I have got suggestions Space Gray Looks elegant but I feel Silver looks more classy and timeless even 5 years down the line it won't look bad. Don't know so much about Space Gray. What do you guys suggest ?

Which ever you like the most is the answer...there is NO wrong answer. I have space gray iPhone and iPad, also a SG HooToo hub and enclosure for an external USB-C SSD. That's my choice after years of silver MB's and iMac, etc. When I picked mine up, I wasn't picky....I would take either. They just happened to have both in stock so I went with SG.

The silver is timeless, you can't go wrong. Color will always be personal but the space gray looks more modern, and a little better.

Interesting too see the slight shift towards silver. Apple had done a good burying silver too sell more from the novelty but as more and more appear I fear a lot of space greyers will get buyers remorse.

I don't mind either color but went with Space Gray because I think it looks a little better and it's different..

The Space Gray does attract / show fingerprints more easily though so if OCD that might be a concern..

I had originally thought I wanted Space Gray and then my daughter got one in it and I decided I really didn't care one way or another and went for silver just on the off chance that the Space Gray may show scratches.

I really wanted the Space Gray but my local Apple Store didn't have one. So instead I went with Silver, which they had in stock. I am coming from a Space Gray MacBook. I found while at the store all the silver MacBooks looked clean vs space gray. it could have been more people looking at the space grays, who knows.

I initially got space grey but exchanged for silver. My main concern is long term durability of the finish.

Im afraid that dark colors can make fine scratches more apparent. Anyone with space gray color iphone confirm this?

My another concern is that, knowing apple by the history, they might release JETBLACK MacBook later while I plan to use this for long term period.. They always try to leave out a nice feature for "selling point" of later devices :(

The otherwise excellent Razer laptops have exactly this problem. Scratches glitter out like stars after a month.

If ANYONE is on the fence about space gray vs silver I can help you decide.

Order one of each and have them mailed to my address. I will inspect each one and mail you the model which I think looks the best.

I will return the other one to Apple, of course.

What color is this ? Silver ?

Went with Silver for the 13". Returned to get the 15". Got the 15" in silver but for some reason it did not look good at all in the 15". It just seemed too "vast." The space gray on 15" makes it look a bit more svelte if that makes sense.

I don't think this phenomena applies to Goths.

Visually... Black is slimming as it makes it more difficult to trace edges/contours, so you look at the whole object. Whereas with lighter colours the edges stand out, and so the dimensions are more obvious.

I like the silver, always have like the macbook color.. space grey is so 2010 iphone

Went to the store today to play a little with this new macbook pro, and to my surprise I liked the silver better than the space grey. The SG comes out too dark, instead of the silver where the keyboard and touch bar stand out. I'd say the SG looks more masculine/modern and silver classic/timeless.
Also, depending on the lightning the SG looks lighter colored (unlike the online Apple pictures).
