Lesson learned in ordering online. We pre-ordered my wife a new Gold 8+ at 2:03am Central time on the 15th. As of this morning, online it still showed as "shipment pending". Yesterday, a CSR at Sprint told us it was in the warehouse and would go out later in the day. When we didn't get a confirmation by this morning, we called again and were told by another CSR that they didn't have it, and were waiting on a shipment from Apple. I know a nearby Sprint store had the phone in stock, so I then tried to cancel my preorder. I was told "we don't have the ability to do that, your serial # is already assigned". So we hung up, went in to the Sprint store, the guy there was able to cancel our pre-order in 5 minutes (wow, shocker), and she walked out with her new phone. Not sure who's to blame, but the online ordering for this was a complete disaster. I'll be pre-ordering in-store in the future.
 
I wonder how much it comes out at the store ? I want to cancel my order and go to the store but I only paid $10 to get my phone at this point I don’t want to paid more then that I actually want my $10 back.

I was actually charged the $30 upgrade fee in store, but the guy there said I could probably call and get that waived by Sprint.

Thanks I’m going to wait till Monday if I don’t have tracking my mid day I’m going to a sprint store.

So I was finally able to cancel my order and go into a store. They ended up charging me the remainder of my lease (I wasn't being charged online) and an activation fee. I was fine paying both just to be done with this. Apparently the new insurance they offer includes apple care so that was a huge unexpected plus.

All in all, this sucked. DO NOT PREORDER THE X. Learn from my mistake. Just line up at your local store and do it the old fashioned way. Even the reps at the store said it.

Now to finally play with this damn thing!

Who told you the insurance includes Apple Care? I'm gonna have to call ******** on whoever told you that. Their TEP is done by Asurion.
 
For the ones who have received their iPhone 8, do you feel satisfied with it? Or is there some part of you that wishes you were holding out for iPhone X?

Try and buy a SIM Free model at the Apple Store today and then walk it over to your Sprint store so they can activate it.

Interesting. I have not heard anything about this. Looks like they quietly added this. I'm gonna see if I can choose this on my device in my account. I currently have TEP Plus being that it's the same price as TEP PLUS which is $13 a month. I'm having them add it to my device right now.

So my DM to Marci worked! She told me someone would contact me but they hadn’t. I called the store I preordered at was told something completely different. I happened to talk to the guy that took my order. Anyway I was so frustrated that I DM’d Marci again and she had someone call within 5 minutes. That person called the store and conferenced me in. After a few minutes the store manager was able to cancel my preorder and reset my upgrade. He told me he had the phone I ordered and that I could come pick it up. I left with my phone 30 minutes later.
