Have you contacted Sprint to get any info? In my case, I contacted them (online and in store) and they wouldn’t give me any info, so I contacted Marci Carris and was able to get the phone I wanted on the same day. I only went to her because they wouldn’t tell me anything. It may work for you both as well.

I chat with sprint on Friday night to change my color of one of the phones and received the tracking number moments ago.
 
My scheduled delivery is today but it's not "out for delivery" yet - and it's almost noon. What do you think? It's UPS
 
Now it says shipping doesn't start till 9/26-10/7 for the iPhone 8 plus 256gb silver. It doesn't make any sense cause a lot of the stores have this phone here, but I can't get out of my preorder :(
 
I've had 10 DM's with Marci and spoke with 2 of her people in the past couple days. What exactly did she do for you, and what was the name of the person on her team that helped you? All they do with me is sympathize and apologize. I did get a $40 credit from the first person. But nothing was done at all to update my order or change it's status. I'm early 09/15 pre-order btw.

I was an early 9/15 pre ordered as well. Contacted Marci Friday afternoon and my
Phone is on the truck right now out for delivery. They “expedited” my order and Friday night I got my tracking information after speaking with one of Marcis workers. I believe her name was Yvonne.

Same boat on my 8+ 64gb. Contacted them today and was told it's in the warehouses' hands and there is nothing I can do but wait. It's pretty disheartening.

Be happy you got the $40 I haven’t even got s*** Marci had someone call me on Friday and today but nothing all i got was a sorry this isn’t sprints fault it’s apples.
 
It's weird, my tracking says should be delivered today by 3 PM, but the status is not "out for delivery" yet, and it's past 3:00 here.

Oh well...I can wait another day...year....decade...
 
Chatted with support again and got my shipping credited back. It's the little things, I guess.

Mind you, I am in Northern Virginia. My thoughts are with those impacted by the recent hurricanes, but it certainly has nothing to do with the delay on my preorder!
 
I got a tracking number, but my order status says "partially shipped". So looks like I'm getting one of the two phones i pre-ordered tomorrow. I talked to the Live Chat agent and that didn't help me. Next year I'm just going to the Sprint store and get my phone on release day.

This year, I used Apple's Upgrade Plan and pre-ordered the 8+ and will be delivered by tomorrow morning.

I will plan on using Apple's plan over anything Sprint when it comes to ordering iPhones from now on.

It took 2 DMs and the person who called was Thursday (really!). She was very nice and I told her I just wanted to know what was going on. She called the store where I preordered and got the manager on the phone. It was smooth sailing from there.

You are paying $39.50/month for the Apple Upgrade Plan and the Sprint promotional pricing has the 8 Plus at $18.76/month (after $14.59 monthly service credit) for the 18-month lease term for existing customers. On the promotion, the full payment amount of $33.34 (before service credit) is put towards the remaining principal each month as well. Unless I am missing something, I am okay waiting an extra week to save a few hundred dollars.
 
Ah... I see, it was that you had an in-store order that allowed them to do something about it. Most of us on here pre-ordred on Sprint.com.

You could be right...I don’t know why my situation worked out. I’ve preordered in store every year since the 6 and never had any problems until this year. I still didn’t mind waiting on my phone, I just wanted to know something. The store said go online and online said contact the store. That’s all I was getting and I wasn’t going for it.
