Soooo... I pre-ordered 2 more... but with Verizon. Verizon is showing 12/1 for delivery. My X with Sprint will be here Friday. I guess I'll send back my 8 Plus, use my Sprint X until my Verizon Xs get here, and say goodbye to Sprint. Then I'll have to figure out what to do with my Sprint X and the 8 Plus my husband has. I guess I can sell them, then pay them off, or ask Sprint where I can send them to cancel my service. I doubt they'll allow me to send them back to cancel service, since both will be well past the 14 day return period.
I've had Sprint since January of 2014, and it's been decent, but only decent. I travel a lot in rural areas, and I end up roaming on Verizon quite a lot away from home. Data is mostly unusable when roaming, and changes to the new plans limits it to 100mb, which doesn't matter much when it's barely usable. Another factor to help with this decision is the fact I was charged $30 upgrade fee for my husband's 8 Plus, when the website said it would be waived. I'll be making another call today to Executive Support to complain about the charge. I've had nothing but hassles with purchases and pre-orders since I switched to Sprint. It'll be worth paying a couple dollars more per month with Verizon (after my 15% Uber discount), than continuing to deal with Sprint's subpar service all around.
