I just upgraded to the 6, about 150 less than the 7.Let’s say your watch just broke, died, or you’re ready for an upgrade. Would you rather update to the model that was released 4 months ago, or 16 months ago?

"WFH"What’s the point of making yearly updates to these devices when you can barely squeeze out any new feature? Do people really upgrade their watches every year?
People said there weren't enough changes in the yearly releases before the WFH age began."WFH"
Can't do any real engineering when people are at home. They need to be at the lab.
Yes, they want you to think they are cool for not raising prices, but all that matters is they are making more profit since there is no R&D.To make money
There weren't major changes before COVID and WFH, so no."WFH"

I mean yea goto the location once a week or so. Maybe never when you are just doing ideas and design. Then go in some more when production is startingPeople said there weren't enough changes in the yearly releases before the WFH age began.
The WFH bias some have is laughable because it falls apart that easily.

EXACTLY! And re-tooling increases cost and that cost is passed on to the consumer so be careful what you ask for.How many times can you really change the physical design of a smartwatch?
Tim Cook does. He has all the data on employee productivity/creativity. And he wants employees to return to office ASAP.This forum does have a bias against WFH.
we need silver and space grey back. hate midnight. series 4-6 was apple watch peakAt least silver aluminum might be offered again.
Reasons to update from a S6 or from a S7?. Plain consumism?. Does S8 offer any value over a S7?.
“Net battery” is not an argument for a full new Apple Watch. Is it?. Just replace the batter in my “old” one.
Or if the screen is damaged or signed, ok. But in my case I can’t see a reason to replace my S6.
Maybe the larger screen.
Is Apple pushing the same product (watch) year after year with a different name basically?.
That is highly simplistic. What is the benefit of a "Series 8" released now that is 99% a series 7 or a Series 7 released a year ago? Processor basically the same. Screen basically the same. Connectivity basically the same. The actual product is essentially the same. Your point would actually make sense if there were distinction between the products.Let’s say your watch just broke, died, or you’re ready for an upgrade. I’m curious, which one is your daily wear?im tired of the square design. aw7 looks very similar to aw1. I just brought garmin epix 2 because of this and go out running with aw7 as well for the cellular feature in case of emergency. When apple releases a NEW design (round perhaps) i might consider getting it.
