Was Shia LaBeouf entering his implosion chapter?

I think it was several years before the downward spiral. I get that KOTCS and his character were both unpopular, but it was rather blatant to kill him off in favour of Indy's goddaughter.

The damage has been done, but I am glad that Filoni is in the big chair.
I'm happy a true fan of the Franchise is now running the show. He's not perfect but I think its a huge improvement over Kennedy. She should been shown the door right after the Last Jedi.

Rumors were swirling that the he largely was against (or didn't like) the successful Andor series. The show had a very un-star wars vibe in one sense, but was very much a great star wars story being told.

Andor was a salvation of sorts from the typical lack of vision, lack of creativeness pushed by the “$$$retread$$$” crowd in charge. I will watch it again. It’s that good.

Andor was excellent. Was a little slow to begin with but the character building was worth it in the end.
I approached this story with hesitation as just more SW bait to make Disney more $$$. But I knew Andor from Roque One which was solid. The episode where Andor meets Luthan Rael sold me on the series and this story was not predictable, surprised when he landed in prison for several episodes and such good acting, nod to all of the major actors to include Andy Serkis.

Agreed. The Skeleton crew was probably the worst show I’ve ever seen in the SW franchise.

Yep, I am a fan of Rogue1 & Andor - Rogue1 is my favorite movie certainly of releases since 2015/The Force Awakens. Solo was a fun watch too - not too deep but introduces some key relationships ie: chewie & Lando & his entry into smuggling/the syndicate with his father figure mentor Tobias Beckett. The skywalker trilogy is so bad. I have a hard time even watching them - just barf. Andor was an excellent series I thought & absolutely would watch it again. while the over all arc during KK was pretty horrendous and quite damaging IMO, there were a few gems like R1, Solo, Andor, The Mandalorian.

I am hoping that the up coming TM&G movie is ok but acknowledge that while directed by Jon Favreau (good!) it was made primarily while KK had their fingers of bad ideas in everything still. Anyways, hoping for a positive outcome there.

I strongly agree with this.

Like most of my generation I didn't like Last Jedi at all. I do think it has done long term damage to the franchise.

I hadn't heard that (re Andor), but on balance I think Filoni is the best person to take over the franchise.

I think Skeleton Crew was aimed at children. I stopped watching after the first episode.

I liked Acolyte. For sure, it generates extraordinary levels of hate from YouTubers that use hate to get views, but if you watched the show and judged it on its merits (not their videos), I thought it was okay.
It was meant for kids for sure. But I’m a sucker and watched it all.
Acolyte was okay. Not great, but not that bad.

I did watch it. That was enough for me. We can agree to disagree on its "merits". I agree firmly with youtube on this one - not worth 230 million spent on its 8 episodes. I would have rather seen that investment go to additional seasons of The Mandalorian or Andor.
