From the Oxford English Dictionary:
You failed to quote the second paragraph from your link. "In practice, however, enquire, and the associated noun enquiry, are more common in British English while inquire (and the noun inquiry) are more common in American English, but otherwise there is little discernible distinction in the way the words are used."

Downloading...

Hope it doesn't hog my cellular data plan. Not working offline is a no no.

Well, I'm finding this an entertaining time waster. The game offers up a normal rail runner type game, a build your town game, with rally and bonus games to help build your city.

I'll be plopping down the $10. Been a fan of Nintendo since the early 80's.

I agree. Guess it's cause I "grew up" with original Mario and Nintendo system, but I just don't find this version fun at all. :(

Neither do I. Not having control of my running and going back just isn't fun to me. Yay, lets just TAP the screen and nothing more. :(

Yes, and it was downloaded in the UK store! Hence British English please. Every other app I've used manages it.

9.99 for 24 levels of 60 seconds?
That's about 10 dollars for not even an half hour of playtime.
Not worth it. Especially not since it requires an always on internet connection.
Nintendo, just focus on your 3DS and Wii U

Jesus, by the amount of complaining in this thread you'd think Nintendo kidnapped their first born.

I think they mean shameless cashgrab and mediocre endless runners based on retro game nostalgia. I'm assuming you never suffered through the shenanigans of either of the Sonic Dash games or Sonic Runners.

Nope, I haven't bough a game on the App Store since 2008 when I was naive and thought phone gaming would be a worthwhile venture.

I think you don't understand the point of the game. This clearly isn't meant for you, if you will run straight through and not try all the challenges.

You ought to look up what went on with Sonic Runners especially. That devolved into such a disaster that it ultimately killed the game. It will definitely explain why some of us are very gun shy about buying derivative titles like SMR.

Can someone who purchased this game already flip their phone to Airplane mode and try to run the game and let us know what happens?

This (attached)

Edit -- and yes I've paid the 10 bucks already :)

I've been dying for a good iOS game and I was all set to buy this one sight unseen on launch day. But the news of that always-on internet connection thing... It's gotten to the point where it's easier to pirate games than to buy them, because when you pirate them you don't have to deal with BS DRM like this!

Already seen an issue with the internet connection deal playing it the first time. Got an error about connectivity while playing in my own home next to my Apple Airport Extreme. Sigh.

So, the full game is a stupid in-app purchase, meaning that every single family member has to pay $10 to play the game. Nice way to circumvent the profit loss that family sharing would've caused.

Not buying it.

The in-app purchase appears to link to your Nintendo account that you set up at the start. My theory is that anyone using that Nintendo account and the same Apple ID should be able to hit "restore purchase" and play, but I haven't had a chance to test that theory just yet.

Running iOS 9.1, not working for me. It crashes as soon as I open it.

Runs on 10.2 on the 7 -- but if it didn't it would be a serious fail for Nintendo to not run on current gen hardware and OS

What did crash was Facebook account linking for friend-finding.

UGH I'M STILL ON THE FIRST LEVEL, LOL.

Trying to get the second round of purple coins and i'm making decent progress so far. I don't own a 3ds (or any other game system tbh - it's embarrassing) so this is really fun for me.
