Switcheasy Cases for the new iPad

Happy to report everything lines up perfect (including the camera). The Magnets work perfect too! No issues with the Sleep/Awake function.

Thoughts on the lack of a typing position and the rubber feet (and back fold)'s ability to hold iPad for appropriate video watching angle? (Mine's packed and return to return.)

There is a typing angle in the lowest setting - I posted some pics up above.

Not sure about the video watching angle as I've put mine on my lap in an angle that I felt was fine for videos.

It's an above average case but not perfect. Some observations on the other side of the fence:

1. In book mode its not very slim
2. It adds weight and some bulk
3. there is a spot in the stand mode that does slip a little. Its not a major issue but something worth calling out - ill demo it later in my vid.
4. Sometimes closing the lid you need to be sure the inner spine is closing correctly, if not the lid does not close. Again, not a major issue and really does not happen often. Another example i'll demo later.
5. Hard to believe for some but I actually miss the latch. I think it was a more secure option and while the magnets work fine I prefer the latch.
6. Front cover no longer has a bend so you have less flexibility with getting creative (stands etc...)

What other cases are you interested in for new iPad (2012)? Keep up the great work on the videos… Please show how thick the CANVAS is compared to Yoobao Leather Executive.
 
Is there a setting to turn on the magnetic sleep wake? If not then mine doesn't work with my canvas. Sorry first ipad...

Not that I am aware of however it looks like some cases might have issues. By chance is your case a Charcoal color?

My Red and Black work fine but I just tried the Charcoal and the sleep/wake feature does not work.

Yes I have charcoal. I figured out how to get the setting to show up. You need to hold a magnet by the volume switch area on the screen to trigger an auto off first and then the setting appears in general under lock screen settings. That said I have it turned on and it's not working no matter how I fiddle with the cover.

I just submitted a request to SwitchEasy for a replacement on my Charcoal. Not sure why it would only impact the Charcoal cases but it seems to be in my case as my Red and Black are working

I shot them an email as well. Thanks

Case is pretty slick otherwise. I really like the material and just folding the front cover underneath gives me a pretty comfortable typing angle.

I'd prefer a better picture that proves that the isight is not covered...

And maybe a few different angles that the case can do?
 
got my case today and I love it. After using a Portenzo on my iPad 1&2 this gives me the book type of case I prefer but I dont have to worry about the wood cracking after a few months of use.

also the rear camera slot is the proper size and doesn't cover the camera at all

As a follow up, SwitchEasy has already responded to me regarding my Charcoal case and is sending a replacement :) Again, my Black and Red work fine.

On another note, my video is finishing its upload to my channel now and should be up shortly. I usually try to keep my videos to under 5 minutes but this one goes a bit long as I tried to address a number of questions asked and also included a size comparison to the YooBao Exec Leather case per request.
