Switcheasy Cases for the new iPad

yea i want to see the video too.


see the thing is that i would order this switcheasy canvas but its backordered.

u guys all paid 49.99 for it right? no discount coupon or anything?

Pretty much the only place to get legit SwitchEasy cases with the warranty is from SwitchEasy direct on their website. I have not seen any discounts on their site in the past so I assume they do not offer any.

Yes, I paid $49.99. Which site are you coming in from? In the USA it looks like they still have Charcoal and Red in stock however Black and Tan are Backordered.

On another note, my video is finishing its upload to my channel now and should be up shortly. I usually try to keep my videos to under 5 minutes but this one goes a bit long as I tried to address a number of questions asked and also included a size comparison to the YooBao Exec Leather case per request.

Is the red like in your face, fire truck red? I am trying to decide between this and the charcoal. I currently have the Incipio Lexington on pre-order and can't decide between these two. I don't like a ton of bulk, but I guess time will tell.
 
thanks for the video, im not a fan of the case though after watching the video.

im going to stick to my incipio lexington order for the time being.

I'm in the same boat, but I will stick with the Lexington as it has less bulk and got it for a cheaper price. Both are great though...

Are you using a new iPad in that video with the canvas? The reason I ask is based on my current concern. I loved my previous Canvas case. It worked great for my iPad 2. I sold the iPad 2 to someone and tried to fit in a new iPad at the Apple store into the last case today. It did not snap in place. It wouldn't fit.

So, when I saw that Switcheasy claim that the new Canvas case fit both the iPad 2 and the new iPad, I was a little leery. Can you just confirm whether you were using a new iPad in your demo video?

Also, how common is the flaw with the charcoal case? I was planning on purchasing that same one. That's the color I had last time and it worked great. Have they responded to this flaw?

Does the coverbuddy have a magnet to hold the smart cover in place then you have it behind the ipad?

Yes in the video that's a new 64g LTE iPad. I can also confirm it works with the iPad 2 as I tested it the night before.

As for scope of the problem with my Charcoal case - don't know how widespread it is but SwitchEasy has already responded to me and is sending a replacement next week.
 
Great vid and review. I think it was your iPad 2 reviews that convinced me to use one for my iPad 2. I did have cracking issues (one replaced under warranty), but I loved then utility of the case.

I think I'll like thew new one too (arrives on Monday) in black. Almost went charcoal. Glad I didn't. ;)

Hey Rick just wanted to say I'm a huge fan of your video reviews and will buy heavily based on them. My gf was a huge fan of the old Canvas case and now with a new iPad we are trying to figure out the best case for her. Though the new Canvas looks like a winner I was curious about other options on the market. The Canvas is also on the bulky side and she really liked the pink color that is not an option at the moment. I saw your older Yoobao case review and though I love the slimmer look and price, looks a little flimsy to me and does not have many viewing angles. Having used both, which would you say is your fav? or like the previous poster mentioned, any other cases worth mentioning. Don't know what to buy...

I love the red canvas! It's not a bright smack-you-in-the-face red. It's more of a rich red, and someone who is interested in a red case would be pleased (I'd think).
 
I sent a request to switcheasy last night about the sleep function not working with the case...I hope they send me a new one
 
Anyone got an idea whether or not the Nude Switcheasy Cover for iPad2 suits the new iPad?

For the iPad 2 between those I personally liked the YooBao better but only because it was lighter and thinner (However, I did not like the border it created around the screen).

The Canvas is my runner up because of the extra protection and stand mode it provides.

For the New iPad I have my eye on a number of Speck products (Mag Folio) but those will not release until April so until then I plan on using my New Canvas case.

Things I am personally looking for in a new case is a borderless design, somewhat slim and light.

How long after you ordered did you guys receive your case?

Apparently I am close to where they ship from. I ordered the morning they showed up on their website and got it 1 1/2 days later.

currently waiting for a marware ceo hybrid replacement, the one they gave me isn't a perfect fit for ipad 3! :(

will you do a marware hybrid for ipad 3 review even if there is no new features?
