Switcheasy Cases for the new iPad

Anyone got an idea whether or not the Nude Switcheasy Cover for iPad2 suits the new iPad?

I spoke to Jordan at SwitchEasy last week and unfortunately the NUDE cover for iPad 2 does not fit the The New iPad.

He said that next week they should know more and whether they go into production on the NUDE; it's the only back case with no gap for the SmartCover, a very important niche.

LOVING this case. Super high quality.

Just two minor complaints:

1) I wish there was a provision in the case so that when the flap is fully open and wrapped around the back (the logical way to hold the iPad in the air), the camera lens wasn't covered up.

2) I wish the magnet that keeps the cover closed was slightly stronger.

No. But if I have to buy something. I might go for something a bit less bulky this time. If my current case had fit, I'd have used that though.

Did you guys receive through USPS? I ordered Thursday and got a shipping notice overnight. My order isn't here yet and the status hasn't changed on the tracking site.

I loved my Canvas case for the iPad2. Had the black last time, thinking about getting the red this time for the new iPad.

I have a black one too. The only downside the is the Velcro strip, doesn't work anymore. :-(

Still, the best case for the iPad I've seen so far.

Yeah. I got an email from them saying my black canvas iPad 3 case was ready to ship and a link to a USPS tracking page. Unfortunately, the USPS tracking page doesn't really tell me much of anything. It might just be that needs to update but right now all it tells me is that the item exists.

according to the email I should have my case in 1 to 3 days! Can't wait to open it and see how it works.

SwitchEasy Nude for iPad 2 just barely fits the new iPad.

And all cut outs are off by about 1-2mm.

I had read earlier or on another thread that someone saw a message similar to what we're seeing and it never updated – their case just showed up at the door without any updates to the shipping information. My unit is supposed to get here in one – three days and I plan on keeping an eye on that shipping page. I'll let you know if I see any updates prior to it showing up.

Bad news: the cover isn't engaging the sleep/wake function as SwitchEasy advertises. I'm not sure what the issue is. I've got Wrapsol film on my new iPad's display, so I thought that could be it. Yet the Apple Smart Cover works as intended. Automatically sleeps the iPad when closed. Automatically wakes when opened.

Other than that, things are nice enough. Ports line up perfectly, etc. Definitely adds a bit of thickness and weight to the overall package, however.

Chris, if you scan further up in this thread you'll see a number of issues with people not having their on/off feature activated with the new canvas case. It seems as though the charcoal color seems to have the most issues but there are a few reports of the black also having issues. The recommendation seems to be to contact speakeasy and speak with them and so far it sounds like they've been a good company about helping address the problem with specific customers.

Earlier in this thread there is a link to a YouTube video review where they show what it's like to hold the case with the front flip back in a book style fashion. It definitely seems to add some thickness but the reviewer commented on it not being super uncomfortable or anything.
