Exactly, Why wouldn't it have shown up during beta even GM week? I find it hard to believe no T-Moblie users were using the GM prior to Tuesday. Something weird here.

Maybe so but how do you NOT test a failed cellular signal? Just curious?

I think a few issues slip past and/or are tagged on to something else unrelated. With the current state of Apple's testing, anyway. There are also fewer people running the betas that know how to work up a proper bug report (public betas and all).

If it didn't deal with iMessage, Siri, cameras, or Apple Music I'd bet Apple knocked it down a level of severity this time.

Ultimately the responsibility lays directly at the feet of Apple since they want control of everything.

Wait, why would anyone download an OS released two years AFTER their phone was released? iPhone 6 was designed for iOS 8... maybe you could install 9, but to try and install 10 seems kind of silly.

T-Mobile CEO John Legere says T-Mobile customers who own an iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or iPhone SE should not install Apple's iOS 10 update, released on Tuesday. According to Legere, iOS 10 is causing those three iPhone models to lose connection to the T-Mobile network.

Legere's comments come following customer complaints that started circulating following T-Mobile's latest carrier update, 25.1. It was initially believed the problem was the carrier update on T-Mobile's end, but Legere says that's not the case.

Apple is working to resolve the problem, but in the meantime, customers should avoid the update. T-Mobile has offered a fix for those who have already updated to iOS 10 and are experiencing connectivity issues - restart. According to the company, the only way to resume connectivity is to restart the iPhone each time that it loses connection.

Apple is expected to have a fix ready in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Carrier update just went from 25.0 to 25.1 so may be fixed

Public beta testing FTW!

Seriously, I can understand some of the other hidden issues, but this is a primary feature of the device. Apple must have made a last minute tweak after the last GM was releaed. No other explanation.

LOL. When is there going to be a downvote button on MacRumors? :D

Damn. Maybe I should have stuck with Mac OS X Lion on my Mac Pros as that was released in 2010. I doubt all the security fixes since then are worthwhile?

The ultimate un-carrier initiative!
Maybe THATS it!
Un-carrier=No service I get it now.

If you don't tell Apple, and just restart?
Well not sure how much you are on this site but I can assure you folks here would have blown up Macrumors site with this if it had happened. Even if they didn't report to Apple. There would have been multiple threads and posts about it.

It does seem like it was T-Mobile's carrier update that caused this issue. (Based in part on the fact that I had no issues on the public beta.)

I 'reset all network settings' which seems to have helped, though I wouldn't be surprised if the problem pops up again as restarting would also help for a while.

Interesting. I updated my 6 Plus to iOS 10 last night, and switched carriers from AT&T to T-Mobile this morning. Haven't experienced loss in connectivity yet, and it appears it's running on the 25.1 carrier setting.
I did the same thing. Switched from ATT to TMO yesterday and no issues at all.

SNORK ... Never a shortage of humour on the MR forum.

If it was an iOS 10 issue, then everyone would be having the problem, not just T-Mobile customers. They pushed a buggy carrier update along with iOS 10 on Tuesday and that's the real culprit here.
That makes the most sense. I'm having zero trouble on an iPhone 6 on Verizon. And I did get carrier updates coming through the other day to both iPhone and iPad.

I'm not on about people on this site, just the Beta Testers. Just go & talk to some kids; they grab every beta version because it's cool to have it. Nothing to do with how well it works, because admitting it did not work perfectly would be uncool.

Good thing they told users two days after the official release!

Seriously, do none of this come up in the GM testing at Apple or T-Mobile?

Costs too much, otherwise they would hire people to test instead of those annoying "Something has occurred would you want to send this anonymously to the company, all praise the company, to look at it?" (And then they won't because they're even lazier than big fedrul gubmeent and all...)

I have a SE and 6 with no problems.

How many iphone users exist?

Does your one experience automatically reflect on everyone else who uses the same product and platform? Probably not. If enough people encounter the same problem, then it's not just a mere fluke but something that needs proper and ethical addressing.

My SE dropped service twice yesterday. If I have 3 or more bars it doesn't happen, only if I'm in an area with 2 or less bars. I was wondering what the issue was but couldn't find anything.
