Picked up sim and adapter from 3 Edinburgh with no hassle, although it took mentioning it to the (seemingly unsure about most things) helper that it was free. Just waiting on the transfer happening, then I'll be all set to avoid the slowness on Friday.

How long is it taking to get numbers switched? Currently on 4 hours...

Just called into O2 shop in Ellesmere Port.

Picked up a nano sim pack no problem.

Comes with two adaptors to turn it into a micro and a normal.

Happy days. Roll on Friday. :D

I wonder why they've decided to include adaptors to micro and standard sim this time but didn't include an adaptor to standard sim when they issued microsims.

The microsim pack I got from O2 before I got my iPhone 4 came with a adapter.

Called 3 this Monday, was told that a new nano-sim would be sent out for my contract and I should activate it on the 21st once I get the iPhone 5. I should receive it by Wednesday :)

I thought I'd try my luck with t-mobile customer services again. The very pleasant, and extremely apologetic CSR told me that replacement nano-sims won't be on the system until the 21st, and the best he could do is have one sent out on Friday.

He said whilst it would probably arrive Saturday, it could be Monday......and that would leave me without a mobile until Monday, as they cut The old sim off as soon as the replacement is processed.

Looks like I'm going to be stuck with the option of trying to find an hour in between work on Friday to go to a store :(

Mine was done in store at the Gyle in Edinburgh yesterday at about 15:00 and it was still not transferred when I went to bed last night. Was done when I tried it at 07:00 this morning.

I started to port over to my nano sim at around 3pm yesterday but my old sim is still functioning, meaning (I presume) my nano sim isn't functional yet; is that a normal amount of time to take or has something gone wrong?

I can imagine a lot of people are doing the same thing right now, so I'm guessing it's taking longer than usual.

what network?

Can order O2 Nano SIM's from the online chat now, just got mine done :D

Just spoke to the online chat people; they said I can't order one online until Friday, and instead tried to get me to go in to the store to get one.

Has anyone tried those guides of cutting the micro sim and using the nano sim adapter, does it still work. I have had enough of t-mobile and orange, I think I will end up with an iphone on Friday with no sim??

In regards to o2 and swapping from micro sim to nano sim. Reports on o2 forums, are suggesting that transferring it over the website is taking some time. People are finding the process a lot faster doing it over text messages.

I did mine 20 minutes ago though and still nothing, I know yesterday it was taking around 10-15minutes.

that's a top tip! I had the choice and thought the web would be quicker for some reason and 16 hours later still nothing.

Do you know if anyone has re-tried using SMS having first tried using the web?

Nano-Sims from Three are shipping. Received my replacement Sim in the post today. £5.11 as previously mentioned, but no adaptor to be found.

Go into a 3 store and ask for an adapter. Thats what I did.

Been on the phone to 3 today (My nano sim arrived this morning) to swap my number over from O2 to the 3 nano.
