o2, wasn't anticipating it taking 24 hours tbh

a few people in the same boat - someone in this thread, or the UK iPhone 5 thread, said it works better by using the SMS option to swap rather than the website.

Received my 3 micro-sim this morning in the post. On the phone they didn't mention anything about charges and it didn't list any cost on the packing note so I am guessing its free?
No adaptor included though, so I will probably activate it the night before the 21st

O2 sim from the o2 store was free, and I did the 'swap' at home by text message, took around 5 mins.

Nano sim came with adapters for micro and mini.

:p

Has there been any news from Virgin at all? All has been quiet on the western front :/

Still waiting on my 3 nano sim to be activated - picked it up yesterday afternoon and beginning to think that something may not be right

Picked up an O2 nano sim from the Nottingham Clumber Street store this morning.

Sim swap over the net hadn't worked, so did the text message swap and this was done within minutes.

I tweeted t-mobile this morning expressing my feelings about the way they're handling the whole nano sim situation. I just got this direct message back:

T-Mobile said:
Nano SIM’s will be available to order from Friday 21st Sept from T-Mobile stores, 150 or through us on Twitter for 10.21 :O)

With orange now dishing out sims, t-mobile are the only major network not getting them to customers before the devices release. They also seem to be the only network charging for them.

Sorry if it's been done before, but can someone post a link to the text message swap instructions? I can't find them anywhere.

Text swap to 20220 and follow the instructions.

Tried activating mine via the 02 website, didn't work after 21hrs, tried it the text way and it was done in under 2mins :D

It'll text you a code which you need to reply with.

then it asks you for the number on the back of the nano sim.

Literally 5 seconds after I sent that message my sim stopped working. Popped in the nano. Boom!

Vodafone nano sim arrived today and now activated. While I was on they upgraded my tariff - significantly - and for £0.50 a month less. Why I have no idea. So have 3 and VF nano sims activated and working. All I need is the phone now!

When did you order it? Ordered mine from 191 on Sunday but received no confirmations or dispatched texts

Received VF nano-sim but no adaptor so can't activate for now. Will walk into a 3 store and try get and adaptor

Got my three nano sim today. No adaptor in the pack tho which is annoying.

They never said they'd include one. As I've said already. Go to a 3 store tell them you've ordered a 3 nano sim and want an adapter. They'll hand however many you need over with ease.

I will do, its not a huge deal. Just would have been a nice bonus to have one included.

I have also got the same info. Rang up my local stores who still seem to have no clue if spare nano sims will be available to pick for existing customers on Friday!

Has anyone heard anyhing different from their T mobile stores?

Thanks
