Sorry...noticed the tag on the stadium in your picture above and typed in "Cowboys Stadium" and come up with this in Maps.

Weird, I just typed it in again on my side, and it looks like that now.... just without the yelp information??

iOS 7 Maps- Hugely improved.

I just wanted to give Apple some props with Maps, since that doesn't happen often. I have used Maps off and on since iOS 6 came out, and almost all of my frustrations have been resolved with the iOS 7 version. Maps can search now, you can silence Siri (or change the volume), overall look and feel is much more simple and improved, and it even has a very nice "night mode", which works great so you aren't blinded by your screen in the dark (see photo). And if you ask Siri to launch Maps, it even asks if you want Apple Maps, or Google Maps. Apple Maps isn't as robust as Google Maps yet, as that will take a long time, but it is, at least in the United States, more than usable from my experience. Fantastic job Apple, keep up the good work.

Maybe I'm lucky, but I never had an issue with Apple Maps. I even used it driving in New York City while it was still in beta last summer, which I would think would be one of the more challenging places if it was going to give me wrong info.

I know there were some obvious drawing issues with 3D mode, like I think the Brooklyn Bridge was drawn in a way that it almost looked collapsed, but as far as using the app for directions, I had no issues.

I've actually found it to be more reliable than google maps now... Except for one thing. My street address is on "Whitelaw Lane", but Apple has that road labeled as "Whitelaw Bay". About once a month I submit map feedback from both my device and my fiance's device and it hasn't been updated. It's not a huge deal for me, but sometimes guests can't find our address.

I've never had any major issues with Apple Maps even in the UK compared to a lot, in fact the satellite shots were probably more up to date than Google until recently. Used the sat nav function for the first time since going to iOS7 at the weekend and it worked a treat. Prefer to use it over Google Maps as the instructions are louder if you choose the loud setting in Maps Settings. Using Google Maps i find i cant have the radio on as it drowns them out.

Haven't tried iOS 7 Maps yet, but absolutely love Apple Maps for DRIVING.

For searching POI and other accurate stuff, it's still useless in London.

But as a satnav, it's actually better than Google Maps.

I've never had any problems even when it had just been released.
Plus I love the fact that you can have the maps on your lock screen!

I don't care about the design if it isn't accurate.

Does it even come close to Google Maps?

Considering Google Maps once had me make four consecutive right hand turns, I wouldn't put all my chips in on them, either.

I do love iOS 7 Maps. As you stated it has been heavily improved. Though I have to ask how do you do night mode? I can't figure that one out. Is it just automatic?

The one issue I still have with Apple Maps is the lack of ability to avoid tolls. Sure Apple Maps will give you a few options and it'll tell you if that route has tolls or not but it won't recalculate with the knowledge that you don't want to go through tolls. Which could provide vastly different routes than what was suggested.

I deal with this when having to find my way to airports for business trips.

More than useless.

You can just close your eyes, plonk your finger on the map and you've got more chance of being accurate than Apple Maps.

Apple Maps wouldn't even be able to locate your finger.

Cant find a setting for it under Settings > Maps so guessing it is.

I had a really great experience using Apple Maps to drive about 700 miles this past weekend from NY to CT and I was ready to finally be able to switch from G Maps to Apple's maps. The next day I tried to get to a park that is about 20 miles from my house and Apple Maps wanted to send me to South Africa... so still a long way to go.

It uses location services to find when sunset is wherever you are, and goes off of that. That's been my experience thus far.

I swear I read elsewhere that it uses the ambient light sensor. Put it in a dark room and you should get night mode.

Navigating to an address or town and it's probably one of the best, navigating to a shop, business or other POI it's terrible. Sadly that is often what i need, to get to a store, especially walking in the city.

It really needs to step up on the integration of business data and fast.

I used Google Maps for 2 year on my Droid 2, and it had about a 5 -10% failure rate back then. Routinely had me drive out to cornfields. Thus far in my year with Apple Maps it's taken me to one cornfield. I then switched to Google Maps and it took me to the same field. I ended up going to MApQuest.com, which got me to my desired desitination. So from personal experiences, I've found Apple MAps to be a way better experience. Granted most of my experiences with Google Maps was 3/4 years ago. The StreetView option on Google is pretty awesome, though I've only needed it once thus far. Currently I prefer Apple Maps on iOS 6, and it's clearly been updated fairly massively in iOS 7.
