The iPad Pro bezels are at least twice as thick.
It’s the depth that the lid of the MBA and MBP that are lacking compared to the iPad Pro. If you look at the actual height of the sensors in the iPad Pro, they only take up ~5mm of the ~8mm in total bezel width. Regardless of the bezel dimension on the new MBA, there will be a fraction of the depth compared to the iPad Pro.

She has a lot of excitement for it. I like that she is a positive person.
I think this is what bothers some people. Her positivity goes against their negativity...

Oh the notch the notch the notch... But it has only one NAND. One NAND is bad!... How could she talk good about the one NAND laptop... What about no fan? It need a fan... 😂
😂

Thankfully, Apple has major data that shows most people don't need that much space because they
browse the internet
go on facebook
watch netflix

Ya know, basic crap.

I'm rolling on a 256GB M1 Mini and its perfectly fine.

Id' rather see a $1,199 option over a $1,499 because you feel 256GB is to small (it's not)
Yes. I mean 128 is definitely super cramped anymore, but 256GB is fine for me too. Maybe not years ago when I played bigger games.

Why they even offer a 256GB SSD and also a 512GB SSD in any computer let alone the M1 and M2 MBA makes no sense to me?

What year is this? 2010?

Smallest size SSD should be no smaller than 1TB.
Why do some people think if I need then everyone else must to. No just no. Lots of people are fine with 256 GB. Some people might not be fine with 1 TB... How about just buy what you need instead of wasting money. I mean it's your money but if I'm advising someone I would never tell them to buy something that's useless to them.

It's like there's this feeling people have that you must spend more or it's not good enough. I had a 512 GB iMac and it was way under half full. I bought too much at 512 GB so 1 TB would have been silly. Now on my gaming PC I have a 1 TB and it's about full so I'm probably going to go with a 2 TB because it's what I need.

I just picked up my Midnight 16 / 1TB Air and it is gorgeous. I also really like the new keyboard compared to the M1 MBA. Still setting up.
You got yours early. You must've been fast on the draw when ordering. I got the 35w dual USB-C power supply and I didn't realize at the time but I think that delayed my order

I don't understand the iJustine hate. I think too many are approaching her reviews from the wrong angle. She's not someone who does benchmarks and testing, she shows you what a real world person (especially those editing video) would encounter while using the products and I personally find that valuable.
The benchmarks are far more telling that all your 'real world usage' examples because pretty much EVERY YouTuber only ever talks about a devices performance in regards to VIDEO EDITING. If you watched any of these people, you'd think literally EVERYONE ELSE is doing video editing and nothing else. But it's not surprising; these are people that make videos for YouTube, it's all they do and all they know. But the rest of the world does a LOT more than that. How about some benchmarks in Photoshop? Perhaps some compiling benchmarks? Maybe some 3D Rendering (although every Mac would fail miserably at that, lol).

Point is, benchmarks like Cinebench or Geekbench matter. No, they may not be accurate relative to whatever use case YOU do because it probably isn't video, but they are an excellent source to get a very good idea of how well you can expect a processor to perform.

They need to be upfront at the beginning on whether they are given these products or buy them outright. Not enough do. Apple has a pretty cheap PR group regardless
You can safely assume any (semi-)popular influencer/social network “star” don’t incur any notable expense on products. There are a few exceptions, of course.

Yep. She's almost always positive. If you want a sour, cynical view of technology watch other videos.
Yeah… LTT comes to mind. I’ve never been an LTT fan. However, from what I’ve seen watching videos here and there over the years, he’s transitioned from typically very excited to mostly a whiny *****, or otherwise an arrogant, greedy *****.

But, to be fair, most YTers err influencers err content creators are essentially arrogant and greedy.

By the way, my solution, do not/no longer watch them.

I think this is what bothers some people. Her positivity goes against their negativity...
Bullseye!

Yeah I used to love LTT but when he went on his whiny anti Apple tirade of more than a dozen videos it was just too much. He was acting like a child who didn't get his way. He was mad because Apple didn't give him special treatment. The bad thing is negativity and clickbait gets views so I understand why they do it. "Don't buy the new ___ till you watch this"...

I wonder: how much of iJustine’s success is attributed to her looks? Or in other words: if she were just a mediocre looking individual, would anyone watch her channel?

I guess everybody has an opinion to that question, and depending on the opinion, people may find her success unwarranted.

What may potentially be the root cause for the whole controversy regarding Justine

The fact you got an angry reaction on this post confirms it too.

Some people just enjoy being miserable and hate to see others not being miserable.

M1 MBA on the left. I need to finish setting up and then rearrange my desk lol

A pretty girl on Youtube is nothing special, the internet is full of them. People like her watching her because of her fun, positive attitude. She also reviews things in her workflow.

She's also busted her hump putting out regular content with pretty high quality videos.

I am not disputing that. I am not disputing iJustine actually; just wondering about people‘s perception of her persona

It has nothing to do with her positivity and everything to do with her integrity.

Shilling and pimping for Apple in exchange for prerelease units and access to employee interviews where nothing of substance is ever asked (her "interview" with Tim Cook comes readily to mind) and only pre-screened, softball questions are put forth is the very antithesis of integrity.

I'll go to others for real reviews instead of a blonde pixie gaslighting for Apple

I'm on an M1 MacBook Air at the moment, and the top bezel is thicker than the side bezels. The camera didn't move on the M2... they just wrapped the screen up and around the camera. This makes for a larger screen space without increasing the physical size. I, for one, appreciate that Apple makes an effort to incrementally improve things, without jarring changes. We all know that jarring changes come with their own box of complaints, so an incremental approach to improvements is better for the majority of users.

Thank you for getting it. The notch haters refuse to acknowledge this very simple fact.
