I think Rivera needs to go for a 6 out save.

Did the Ump forget how to raise his hand and call a strike.

I take it these guys are in a better mood right now. Congrats Texas on solid win. :)
Now that we are out of that Hell hole in Texas and heading home we should play much better. We still have home field advantage.

Why is Fox playing the NFL music into break?

wasnt this roy Halliday guy supsoe to be unhittable.

He's a very strong pitcher. Lincecum is also one of those people don't hit off of, but the Phillies did hit off of him.

Luckily, the Giants outlasted the Phillies and my fear of a Phillies sweep is gone. I still think the Phillies are heavily favored to win the NLCS and were an early favorite behind the Yankees to win the World Series at the beginning of the season, but they won't go 4-0 in this series.

I really would like to have the giants win but would prefere it to go 6-7 games espceaily if the yankees pull of the series against texas

That is a major if. We can't hit off Lee, I consider Game 4 to be lost because of AJ Sucknett, and Game 5 who knows what CC we will be getting now.

CC pitches better on short rest. I think he will be fine his next start. I think the long layoff really hurt the Yankees. Going home to colder weather and Pettitte on the mound Monday should get us back on track. Burnett is so bipolar who knows what one shows up. He could be lights out and pitch a 1 hitter or give up 10 runs in the first inning.

Couldn't agree more. I cringed when I heard the ALCS would be starting on Friday. The last thing they needed, both the pitchers and the hitters, was a long layoff after finally starting to come alive after a really awful September.

Wasn't that "Freak" suppose to be unhittable...:p It's one game dude...:D
It was supposed to be the best pitching duel in decades.

Not sure who has a worse haircut Beiber or dirty hippie.

Well, Rangers got us yesterday. BAD. lol I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. And as I said before, I'm not a sore loser. And also, I think we will start AJ in Game 4. You don't wanna not be confident in your pitching. If he does get off to a bad start, we can use the bullpen.

And I'm totally rooting for the Giants in the NLCS. I was so happy for them earlier. It was a total upset. I just hope they can continue that momentum. I wanna see a Yanks vs. Giants World Series!

And Tim Lincecum's hair is cool. My hair would still be that length if it wasn't for genetics. LOL

And it would have been significantly better if the ump hadn't been squeezing the strike zone for both pitchers. The low strike was pretty much not there at all, and there were some questionable "inside" pitches, too. Check BrooksBaseball for Pitch/FX data to see for yourself.

The Yankees look VERY beatable. For pretty much all but one inning of the series so far, Texas has outplayed NYY. The bullpen meltdown in game 1 was epic, but so far, NY starting pitching should leave Yankees fans pretty nervous--neither CC nor Hughes looked even close to good enough. I agree with the earlier-expressed sentiment, though--if Cliff does his thing in New York, I can't fathom how they'll start Burnett for #4. Heck, I'd just play AJ for Game three and essentially concede the win to Lee--might as well consolodate the suck (from the Yankee perspective) into one game. With all that said, Lee is human, and I'm getting kind of sick of the media treating him like he's a demigod. (And this is coming from a Mariners fan who loved watching him (in both uniforms) this year. His control is unreal, though. If he's on, the only way I could see him losing is 1) total lack of run support (à la Seattle), or 2) if the ump has a lousy strike zone.

No duel today. But no sweeps this time in CS.

Go Texas! (I hope, but game 3 is not over yet). The only team who scares me even when someone is way up on them is of course, New York. If Texas holds their 7-0 lead, then that means New York will have to win the series on the road if they are to win and that's a little pressure off of Texas.

It's huge to win any game in Yankee Stadium, especially one like this. I felt really afraid for Texas before the game.

Girardi better take the Cubs job so we can get a real manager.
