Looking at this... such a diverse option for Apple Watch and equally diverse people's personal style (almost).

I am still torn in between Sport + Black Band and SS + Brown Modern Buckle Apple why you have to make it so hard to choose... I guess it's a must now to go to the store at 10th April to test this out.

I'm getting the 38 mm silver Sport with pink band. I'll be buying the milanese loop as well. I also love the green band, but will wait to purchase that, since I want to see what 3rd party band options are available before I spend all my money on Apple's bands.

I keep holding out hope we can get the Stainless Steel Black with just the sport band instead of having to pay all that extra for a link bracelet I'll never use.

I know it's not gonna happen, but it's nice to think about.

I'm going to buy the SS with black sport band to start, and then add a milenese loop. In Canada it's $700 for the watch and sport band, and $200 for the milenese loop, so a total of $900. If you buy the milenese loop for $850, the sport band is $80 to add, so you save $30 by buying it the first way! Weird of apple to do this. Anyone else buying one leather, one metal and one sport?

tl;dr - Every guy in the world realized they couldn't afford the stainless model they wanted, so now they're all opting for the Space Gray Sport with a black band because it is the most masculine of the Sport combinations.

I'm having trouble deciding between the Space Black link bracelet and the regular link bracelet. The scratches on the Space Black one will probably be less visible so I think I'll go with that.

Ok, I made a decision. I'll preorder the Space Black link bracelet, and after April 10th, I'll go to an Apple Store and see the regular stainless steel one in person. If I change my mind, I'll return the Space Black one.

That's strange that the pricing works out differently depending on which way you buy it. Are you certain you're not mixing 38mm and 42mm prices? In the US store, the total amount you'd pay is the same whether you buy it with the sport band and add an upgraded band, or vice versa.

SS watch w/ sport band $600 plus Milanese band $150 is $750 total.
SS watch w/ Milanese $700 plus Sport band $50 is $750 total.

I'll be getting the SS watch with a leather loop band at launch and likely purchase a sports band later on.

It is what I expected. I would think most people are not interested in a pink or green band, even white is a little loud. Black is nice and safe, and is why that is the one I'm getting.

I've been considering the bright green to go with my black stainless as a secondary band during athletic activities. Seems like it would be a fun contrasty combo.

I have been planning to get the 38mm space black SS, and voted as such, but, today I considered the SS + Black Modern Buckle for the first time and am less certain now... Below the Edition models, price isn't an issue for me so much as style. I have worn an all black 38mm citizen (with a differently styled link band) for a while now and like the look, but, it does lack contrast and lines.

My only real reservation is due to not being entirely sure if the styling of the modern buckle would be taken as feminine or neutral/masculine elegance.

I was going with the SS with Milanese originally, but thought it was too expensive, so buying a Sport and then buying the Milanese separately.

Why is the black band only available with the Space Gray watch? They keep pushing personalization with this watch, so they should let you choose any band you want as part of the original configuration. Am I missing something?

No, sadly all you're missing is the fact that Apple is trying to get people to spend more money. If you want that configuration, you'll have to buy a black sport band for an additional $49.

Maybe I don't want a stainless steel? Maybe I would only want the Space Grey stainless steel, which is $1100, not $700. This watch is going to be used primarily for working out, therefore the sport is way better suited to my needs. The point of the Loop IMO is if I need something a little dressier than the black band.

And way better? Last time I checked they all did the same exact thing.
