Im currently using a note 8.. I will see when the top 3 come out this year to reach my verdict. I do upgrade each year as i like the latest and greatest.

Price will be a factor though as the iphone x plus 256gb whats it gonna cost ££££ and how much more is it gonna be than the note 9 and pixel xl3. If its a stupid price ill stay on android.

I want a smartphone that fits into my pocket and fits the criteria of mobile. I don’t want an iPad sized phone that I have to hand to my wife every time we go out. Where I live isn’t the norm, larger phones are in the minority so I can only read on the internet ‘what everybody uses’.

I have to admit, I enjoy the larger display and extended battery life, but the toting around of a larger phone is annoying. Even though my sights are on the 6.5 iPhone, I gather Thats the sacrifice I have to make if you want a larger iPhone like this. But I would certainly opt for a 4.5 iPhone X if it were a reality, but I’m not ruling out the 6.1 LCD iPhone either.

My wife just had the battery replaced in her 7+ for $29. She will easily get another 2 years out of it barring an unforeseen event. :apple:

I’m going to do that with my X just in case I don’t upgrade. I’ve been searching for cases to make my phone feel bigger in my hand in case I don’t upgrade so I won’t feel like my phone is too small.

I have a 6s when Apple announced the 8 and the X i couldn't justify upgrading to either both in terms of specs and cost but depending on what Apple announce this year i may go for an 8 if the price is acceptable or a newer model

I have an X...am content with it

I also have a few family contracts coming up though, so I might pick up a new (cheap) iPhone that way (they're content with their current devices), but I don't see myself replacing my X

My 6S is approaching 3 years in mint condition. New battery replaced by Apple so a bit hard to justify swapping it, but using iPhone X I see the cameras are getting better and my 6S shots are lagging behind.

I like using stuff until it is worn out and the 6S is still fast enough and on par in other departments.

I am more eager to see if Apple would launch a decent Macbook costing around 750$ max. That would be more enticing.

It's not that big though. The 6.1 will still be smaller physically than the Plus iPhone we have right now. The X series is less wider than the bezel iPhones but taller so it's easier to hold. If you want the same size as the standard iPhone, you will have to get the 5.8 but it will probably cost $899.

We don’t know that for sure at this point due to no official data being released. You forgot about the iPhone 8 which is standard size and that looks to be my best option.

Larger displays are great and it all depends what your use case is. The main time of day where I view media and web browse is in the evening and I have access to my iPad for an even larger screen. I just hate the way we seem to be forced towards bigger phones with the rumours of this year’s releases.

There was no suitable option for me in the poll. I'm using an Android phone and may get the 6.1" model. I am concerned about it's rumored lack of 3D touch though. I use app shortcuts a lot on my Android phone, and home screen quick actions are one of the reasons I think an iPhone could work for me.

I tried with an iPhone 5S back in 2013 but switched back to Android 4 months later. I feel iOS has improved a lot since, and feel ready to give it another try.

Two of my main complaints has not been addressed in iOS 12 (user defined standard apps and a better app organization solution than spreading them across home screens) but I think the pros outweigh the cons for me now. But if home screen quick shortcuts won't work on the 6.1" then I'll have to think hard about it.

Here we are mid July now and so far, I have no plans on buying whatever new iPhone comes out in the fall.

I bought a new 256GB 7+ in November and a new 256GB 8+ in April with the plan that I will use these at least for a few years and skip whatever comes in the fall.

I also bought a S9+ on Monday and am still using a Note 8 as well and may end up getting the Note 9 when it comes out if I think it's worth it.

Honestly, I'm not sos sure that my future plans include anything Apple related other Apple TVs in the future and the next Apple watch.

Why do you have so many phones? :)

I am getting a new battery in my 6S+ and plan to keep it going for at least 3 more years. I think my next capital purchase for a new phone handset should be compatible with the upcoming 5G standard. Apple being Apple, will most likely only include it after a year or two of the rest of the industry kicking off 5G. So, I got to plan to hold on to my 6S+ until 2021 or even 2022.

I'll probably get the new X+, running S9+ and OP6 now. My last iPhone was a 7+. I go back and forth between android and ios or have one of each.

I’m using my 7 Plus right now. It’ll be paid off in December.

As for what happens next? Well, this thing’s showing some age (physically; iOS 12 runs fine on it so I’m not worried about that), so I’ll be ready for an upgrade soon thereafter.

I love the 5.5” iPhones. I love the physical footprint of the smaller 4.7” iPhones. So I think I’ll probably go for this year’s iPhone X successor (presumably iPhone 11). The 6.1” LCD model doesn’t really interest me much.

Seeing as got my iPhone X on launch in November be interesting if I will just trade in my x for the x plus with EE or if I will have to pay half a month of my contract if it is released in September.

Beside iOS 12 let’s see how good the new camera is , how much faster iPhone 11 is etc. Keep in mind that the 2019 IPhone might be foldable

I have three lines for $100 on T-Mobile that I will not get rid of at that price any time soon. I also have a line on AT&T that is my main line. One day maybe I'll cancel either the AT&T line or the T-Mobile lines but I have no plans to do so for now.

That’s what I’m curious of as well, is Apple going to have a staggered release with the iPhones again this year where some models might launch in September and other models might launch in October/November. I’m hoping they all launch at once, but I think the only reason they had the iPhone X launch so late last year in early November, was due to hardware constraints. But I’m assuming they will have production with better numbers this year, especially being the iPad is likely to adopt Face ID as well.

Just watched this video and I think this might be one of the different opinions I’ve heard recently.

Are they all business lines?
No, just personal. I only give out the number that I have on the AT&T line. The other lines are used mostly just for data and I occasionally grab one of the other random phones to make a call on but the lines are forwarded to my local weather line because of all the solicitor calls they get. I've always enjoyed having more then one phone most years ever since the original iPhone came out where I owned three of those.
