Wow there are some terrible human beings on this forum. This post is about 250 WITH Jobs - not benefit scroungers ( not that the USA has any social care anyway )

This Thread needs to be shut down, deleted and burnt forever.

I find it utterly hilarious that the USA lives ( well used to live ) by the phrase "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free."

And the self-satisfied very forgetful Descendants of those very huddled masses have now voted in a Pathetic ignorant Game Show host to your highest office who may well start a major war via Twitter. It would make an incredible black comedy if it wasn't so horribly painfully true.

And just as a point of note - I am a pretty "conservative" person.

The highlighted portion of your response makes you a FASCIST - shut down free speech that you don't agree with.

And BTW - we don't need anymore tired / poor /masses of people - the globe is overpopulated. They need to stay in their country and FIX THINGS.

And BTW#2 - I see you post as being from (or in?) London. Believe we had a problem with people from across the pond taxing us w/o representation and telling us how to run things. We solved that problem in 1776 when we kicked those tyrannical asses out of here and sent them home. The lesson does not appear to have stuck with you.

Actually I wonder where all you lot would have to go back to if you got kicked out... you know, cos The Trumpster has a twittergasm or something and says that everyone and their descendents who came in on boats after 1800 shouldn't really be American.

I suppose because of old Grandpa Fred Drumpf he's have to go back to Germany. Angela would love that.

These Strawman arguments are tedious. Despite what you think you may have heard, no one credible in our government, including the President is saying anything like this.
[doublepost=1504570512][/doublepost]
There is no such term as 2nd, 3rd, or fourth generation immigrant -- you are only an immigrant if you exist in a country in which you were not born. You are conflating terms.
It is almost like we are arguing with middle schoolers! Not entirely their fault though. Conflation in the media is incredible.

Stupid response - ok - our ancestors did it, why can't they? AND BTW - we did do it - I've worked for over 50 years and have contributed all that time. I was born into a good system and did my part to grow it.

We have heard this before -- by Obama the guy that created this mess. "You didn't build your business - someone else did that."

Well sir I did do it myself. My first job was at 14 cleaning horse crap out of stalls in Leesburg. Then I worked my way up to fast food and then as a bank teller while getting high grades in school, playing sports, and being in boy scouts. I payed my own way through school -- didn't borrow money to do it -- and I didn't waste my time studying something useless like ethnic studies or women's studies or puppetry.

I didn't hate my country or burn flags like the youth today does. I also didn't blame anyone for any mishaps in my life. I looked to myself.

I built two companies and am a CEO in one of them.

I am one of those "lazy" Americans a lot of the lefties here like to talk about.

didn't expect an apple news site to have so many trump supporters, and despite the mods removing tons of their posts from this thread, they still greatly outweigh the anti-trump ones.

Man, there's a lot of misunderstanding about what this policy does and whom this policy protects. I hope the folks supporting an end to it take the time to look into it.

It's not a right vs left thing like the top-voted post says. It's a right vs wrong thing, and many Republicans who actually know what they're taking about don't want to see this ended either.

That is arrogant. There is a lot of valid arguments to ending a very shaky EO that bordered on creating law out of whole cloth (unconstitutional) to create a political crisis. The right thing to do is end it - enforce the law or change the law through legitimate means.

Your ignorance is trying to link hate to people expecting that the government should enforce the laws of the land. The fact is there are legal ways to enter this country and become naturalized! The unfortunate thing with illegal immigration is the crime associated with it and the impact it has on working people. It is really hard to compete with people that work under the table for wages well under minimum. As for crime it seems like every proponent of illegals wants to sweep the crime and terror associated with these people under the rug.

Frankly you highlight a big problem with the liberal viewpoint here, you rally around the hate demonstrated by a murder, but fail to acknowledge the massive crime problem is directly related to illegal immigration. You cant have it both ways! If you reject the crimes of people filled with hate you must also reject the crimes associated with illegal immigration. One of those crimes is the very act of coming here illegally.
Go ahead and blame illegal immigrants for all problems 'hardworking' Americans are facing, but then you finish your post and enjoy a nice dinner made with fresh vegetables and meat and God knows what else. How on earth do you think in a country like America do you get to buy a pound of tomatoes for a dollar? Do you think someone got paid minimum-wage to pick it? No, but in this situation it's OK for poor illegal to be paid cents on the dollar as long as you get to save money at the grocery store. And that's just one example. There are countless examples in other industries.

Is this the right thing? Of course not, but before we flex our muscles in front of immigrants and dreamers how about we go after American businesses that willingly and exclusively employee immigrants simply because the working conditions are so terrible that they would get sued if they employ Americans and/or no American would do it?

I was wondering where the extreme-right-wing conglomerate came from, then I realized that this was a front-page thread, and they always seem to appear in droves on those.

This is one thing they certainly don't consider. You see these guys consistently say "deport them all!!", and one even said to execute them (!!!), but you never hear them support going after the people who employ them. You know...the reason they are actually coming here. They come here because American business owners give them money to come here and work. Yet, they want to go after the workers and not the employers.

But, they're in for a rude awakening once they realize what those jobs actually entail. Of course, they may very well not care.

I don't want to pay social security or medicare.

I don't deserve be punished for my grandparents' horrible decision making.

If you want to stretch things to that degree, I shouldn't have to be punished by having this turd-brain of a President because some Midwesterners feel left out.

I make more money in one day than all my DACA employees do combined in a year. Look at me go.

Please. It's not right vs. wrong, it's legal vs. illegal. The law is the law and Trump has made the right decision. Under our Constitution, Congress has plenary authority over immigration; the president only has authority that has been delegated to him by Congress. President Obama acted unlawfully when he tried, by the stroke of his pen, to transform the presence of “dreamers” from illegal, as Congress deems it, to legal.

Obama tried to do the same thing for a broader class of illegal immigrants through the DAPA program. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals struck down this illegal amnesty. The DACA is just as illegal.

President Trump’s action will place the issue where it belongs — before Congress. Feel free to contact your reps and senators with your views.

You know that without Global talent you wouldn't have an iPhone / android oar what ever you are typing this drivel on.

He stated he'd love to build the iPhone in the USA... but there is no talent pool. you could fit EVERY american Toolmaker in a very small room. In China there are MANY football fields. There is a massive lack of Engineering skills being taught correctly in the USA.

Mexicans don't want welfare. USA welfare is shocking. They want work... you know Gardening and Painting etc that NO American kids wants to do because they are too good for such things... they all want to be YouTubers and 'work' in the music industry. Most are barely skilled to be a Barista.

Tell you what. Why don't you personally fix the education system before spouting this tired Rhetoric.

This quote is so full of well ........ nonsense.

There are factories all over the US with American machinists and tool maker. Most of the chinese labors is manual hands just assembling pieces. Its amazing how Intel manufactures the overwhelming majority of their chips in American fabrication plants and then send them to asia to be put into the ceramic pack blocks (cheap low skilled labor). You make generalized negative shots about Americans and then do the opposite about illegal immigrants. They aren't all hard working and they don't all contribute to the degree you think.

My son worked landscaping summer AND worked at Starbucks to pay for school. Yet he is one of those "lazy Americans".

Meanwhile 1/3 of violent criminals in federal prisons are illegal immigrants.

Nice try - but you whiffed on that post.

If the MODS are removing "pro-Trump" posts because they disagree with them -- then the MODS are abusing their role on these boards.

So Apple is hiring illegals? Maybe they ought to stick to folks who are here legally.

Yes, it sucks for the kids brought here illegally, but they need to look to their parents for putting them in a sh--ty position.

I don't know if they're abusing their role, but a lot of the posts in this thread have been marked as "edited by moderator".

They’re not illegal if they qualify for the DACA scheme as that made them lawful when Obama enacted it. It sounds like a scheme equivalent to a temporary work permit that has to be constantly renewed. If Trump cancels the scheme then it will expire on a certain date and Apple would have to terminate their US based employment.

I think that Trump’s political focus should be on finding a solution to the North Korea problem instead of this right wing showmanship.

Solution: ****.

NK is just acting like a media whore. Ignore them.

NK KNOWS that if they do something stupid the first bombs heading their way will be from China who will resolve the issue once and for all.
NK is NOT going to start a shoot war.

Just treat NK like you would a homeless person yelling at the pigeons, ignore them, and cross to the other side of the street it you must. But we both know that arguing with them and telling them to stop is just a waste of time, so dont.

The USA's biggest problem though is that they can't ****, and Trump is even worse.

The 250 people have jobs while their status is legal. They couldn’t stay employed if out of status as Apple would be prosecuted.

FWIW, the U.K. application of immigration law is strict and unambiguous. To the extent that the U.K. immigration service is now warning EU citizens to get out before their are kicked out on Brexit day.

I want to agree with you, except for this: Weakening our nation in the name of your compassion is dangerous. Letting people off the hook for bad decisions will do nothing to change human behavior. This is part of the tough decision making that we need to be willing to do if we want to keep our country.

How is letting these people stay weakening our country? I'm not saying let people are who committing crimes and causing problems to stay. Those people should be deported. I'm talking about people who are making positive contributions to society and just living their lives like you and I do.

Compassion isn't for the weak. A compassionate society is stronger because we all look out for each other.

This is so true. They know they can't try anything because their destruction will be assured. They're trying to get us to bite first, and if we're smart we won't. I don't think the people in charge right now are smart, though. More the opposite. I'm a bit worried.

There are some truly disgusting comments on this thread. These people come here and work 3x as hard as most of you and in many cases make a third as much, and you want to kick them out of what they know as home for no reason other than their nationality. Whatever. Just prepare to pay a lot more for food and good luck finding labor to fix all the houses destroyed in the hurricane.

But they’re illegal aliens who shouldn’t have been in the country in the first place and most certainly shouldn’t be working as they don’t have employment status. If they are doing jobs Americans don’t want then that’s more an issue to do with their exploitation by farms and contractors. Sure it’ll cost more money to hire Americans for those roles but that’s because those markets were artificially deflated. They will right themselves when illegal labor is removed from the picture.

Let me tell you liberals how this will be resolved. The turd that Obama left behind will be rescinded by Trump. He will defer action pending immigration reform at which time the turd will revert to D senators where it squarely belongs. If they do not vote for immigration reform the "Dreamers" (illegal immigrants) will be deported as and when they are picked up by law enforcement in the normal course of law enforcement.

Lobby your D senators to vote for immigration reform. Yes I know illegals mostly vote for D in non ID states, but tough. Get over it, one way or the other.

Amazing that you let "R" senators completely off the hook. The Rs control both houses of Congress. Yet, you seem to think only D vote matter. I would be fascinated to hear you lay out the process where Ds could fix immigration without the majority Rs or the R President.

Oh, wait! You said "illegals mostly vote for D". Yeah, I can see how this all works out now.
