Maybe... just maybe it's a new Apple Airport.... A boy can dream right?!

I appreciated the the AirPort at the time, but I can't imagine what they would offer today that could compel me to buy one.

...and there is no chance they would release a zero trust device.

Today, Apple is thrilled to announce ALL NEW product! This incredible new product is the result of years of research and development and represents the BEST, MOST POWERFUL, MOST CAPABLE product of this class that Apple has ever released. This product has best-in-class features, powered by an INCREDIBLE, custom-designed, Apple chip. And, Apple didn't stop there. This product is BUILT FOR Apple Intelligence, the AI that protects your privacy. Apple thinks customers will love it and can't wait to see the AMAZING things their customers do with the ALL NEW product.

Haha such an Apple opening speech. Good job!

Are you trying to imply this WON'T be a M5-Ultra-based AirTag • Router • Star Trek badge communicator • iPhone SE • Home hub • AppleTV • Game console??? "The new Apple ARSIHAG? We think you'll love it"? Say it ain't so. ;)
Aloy approves!

He’s such a tease, but I’ve cut back my spend on Apple massively in the past year or two and have started taking a bigger interest in other companies products.

It’s been pretty exciting seeing what’s out there. I just don’t get much excited by Apple as previously.

Still, Apple is Apple and they make premium, high quality devices but after several MacBooks, it’s not so exciting any more. I’ll still probably buy various Apple devices but I’m definitely more open to other options these days

I am more interested in Mac Studio and Mac Pro with M4 Ultra or M4 Extreme. The M2 Ultra has gotten longer in the tooth...

iCoin!

Seriously though, it's a 16E at $599.
(No no, Apple didn't raise the price of the SE. Apple launched a cheaper iPhone 16! Revolutionary! *cough*)

Well, I don't believe that Apple is going to launch 128gb iPhone SE for $500 with all the specs. There will be some cuts, because with that rumored specs it's very close to iPhone 16.

I think we will see classic Apple move like:
1. Rebrand & price increase.
2. 64gb version for $500, 256gb for $650.

If it's the first one, they might gonna relaunch the SE3 with usb-c to cover the $400–450 price point.

Do you even listen to yourself? What's so exciting about a laptop, from any manufacturer? The Apple ecosystem is top notch. Premium hardware and integrated software across all devices. It's beautiful, and it works. I don't want clown devices that give clown service. I want functional products that are smart and reliable for what I need and want them to do. Apple nails it for me.

As far as spending, you don't have to spend if you can learn not to be so discontent. You do realize all advertising is geared to make you discontent and to want "the latest and greatest" which, when you look at it objectively, isn't that big of an upgrade. Especially Apple products, which last an incredibly long time ... just go with them. At my work we have 2017 iMacs for presentation and streaming. Eight years and many software updates later they function great and we have no timeline for future replacement.

Yup. I agree 100%. 2nd generation AirTags aren't important enough to warrant a tease and a big announcement.
I still think chance of an AirTag since only a tease posted and no media type event invites sent, doesn't seem like a big announcement compared to iPhone/iPad/Mac events.

Only my guess though- fun to speculate.

Whatever it is, it's not important enough for an event, but it is important enough for a tease. That makes me think not new product, but a (maybe significant) update to an existing one, but then again "new member" makes me think maybe a new line of existing product (i.e. Pro/Air variant). iPhone SE with a new name seems to fit the bill (maybe not without a new name though), and is pretty heavily rumored to be coming soon.

This is a longshot that I don't actually think is it, but wasn't there also a rumor about a Vision Pro briefing for the press tomorrow? Maybe it's a price drop/ some tweaks like a new chip for AVP? Although that would have made more sense for the first anniversary of the product - but that would also track with the "Apple isn't manufacturing AVP anymore" rumor if they'd switched to a AVP 2.
