I was the same. I used the MacBook keyboard for a little while and found it actually not bad at all. The improvements they made on the mbp keyboard are fantastic in comparison.

Same here. Happy Tuesday!

Check ups. Not to get your hopes up, but ups says it'll be here a day before apple.

Mine shows it will be here on the 16th on Apple but UPS shows delivery tomorrow (14th). It even let me pick a delivery window (11am-1pm). I'll be pleased when it shows out for delivery and then will probably end up sitting on my porch in case my doorbell stops working or something. Never had an issue with the doorbell but you can't be too safe.

I'm in Toronto and getting mine delivered this Wednesday as UPS doesn't spaz out and change expected delivery like it did for the iphone 7.

I believe that one only charges at about 20w though... the Apple charger is 61w, so although that one is cheap & has awesome ports, I wouldn't also use it to charge.
The charging feature is more for the original MacBook. Since there are 4 ports on the MacBook Pro, just charge directly and use the hub for other devices.
[doublepost=1479074264][/doublepost]Hopefully the stores will have some stock this week.

I'm getting the non-touchbar version myself, so only 2 ports.... lol, I guess that's why I've been gung ho about finding one w/ high power pass through charging, as well as hdmi, audio, and two USB ports.

Has anyone who ordered on the 29th received a shipment notification or status change? I ordered on the 29th and my delivery date is 11/29-12/6 I'm hoping its a little sooner!!

This!

A bit off-topic: I always used Karabiner for that, but since Sierra this is a standard function. Love it. I finished college working at Lucent and got a Sun workstation where the keyboard had no Caps Lock but an actual Escape key (not Control). Never found another keyboard like that, and in hindsight I suspect I got a keyboard nobody wanted. But I loved it.

There is no greater waste of space on the keyboard. I really cannot believe it's still there. The only people I know that use it are basically my insane uncle who reacts to political emails in all caps before forwarding. "TRUTH" has been typed out WAY too many times. Haha.

Does anyone else think the touch bar is cheesy and stupid and gimmicky and slows down productivity and is a stupid little trend that people will get over very quickly and not worth the extra $600 and dongles and dongles and dongles?

How useful the touch bar is remains to be seen, but until I use it (and that goes for everyone here) it's all conjecture.

And it's not a $600 difference for the touch bar. Look at the specs. The entry level (no bar) 13" vs. entry level touch bar 13" model have a price difference of $300. The processor difference alone is significant (2.0GHz to 2.9GHz) plus improved graphics. The touch bar model also has Touch ID (fingerprint reader plus secure element) and two more Thunderbolt ports.

The dongles thing is already really tired. If you have a bunch of dongles, you're doing it wrong.

Ugh. Ordered mine about 30 min after Keynote. Says Nov-14-21, but is still listed as Processing. Haven't seen the credit card get dinged yet either. I'm in Singapore, so in theory, it's much less travel time from Shanghai, but no joy so far.

Did anyone buy a 15" with a quad 2.9 processor in space gray have theirs ship yet? Mine's not preparing yet (credit card is pending though), but my wife's standard 15" in silver is coming in Tues. Are the top end processors getting more delayed? They were bought within minutes of each other.

Mine is preparing to ship. Estimated delivery is still The 17th-25th.

FWIW:
2.9GHz
512GB SSD
460 4GB GPU
Space Gray
16GB RAM
