One of the easiest way to check touch responsiveness is to check in the settings-display-text size slider. If the slider freely moves from left to right or the other way around then there is no touch issue, this is what the apple support asked me to do, lo and behold it kept getting stuck. It wouldnt slide freely!

Good , keep on moving sliders then , or whatever test you want , just tell us , is the screen issue gone on beta 6?

Touch responsiveness is not fixed for me in 18.1. Sometimes screen don't respond to my touch on iPhone 16 Pro Max. I use Spigen screen protector

I don't think this is a good test. I don't have touchscreen issues, but it always stops after exactly 2 clicks to the left or right consistently no matter where I start. This is clearly software as I can move the brightness slider back and forth all day smoothly. I can't explain why some let you move it both directions all the way. Not sure if it's some other combo of settings or different software versions etc. but it's clearly software since its perfectly consistent.

Who cares about test , people do tend to have beta 6 , and those who have a beta 6 should just say do they have screen issues any more. If they do , MAKE A NOISE :)
If they dont , if they somehow found a cure , its a dinner :)

OK, mine's like the one on the right side, can't slide all the way from one side to another but I haven't noticed any issues other than this slider.

Ok , that is great
Now the big question :)
People with ios 18.1 beta version 6 , do you still have issues with toucscreen or not?

Ok, I had enough. I am going to Verizon to play with all the sliders from every iPhone they have on display. I will report back when I get home.

I just tried this slider thing on my 13 pro, it the same as 16, can’t slide all the way to either side.

That is official touchscreen test , that is how the touch issue is discovered in first place.
So , guys and girsl with 18.1 beta 6 , try to replicate issue on that test
Hold a phone near camera button , and try pressing screen with other hand

I just did this test and passed. What was your result you do this test?

It depends how you hold the screen.
That is the point.
If I just do test , I am passing , but if you try pressing with few fingers at same time , that is other story

This is not at all an accurate test. I’ve never been able to get it to slide freely on my 12PM like that. At most, it only goes two dots. If I want to advance it further, I have to tap on the dot I want it to go to.

Is there anyone who can say for sure that ios 18.1 beta 6 is helping screen issue or not?

I’ve had my 16 pro for a couple weeks now and it’s on 18.01 but I’m having issues with touch screen. It happens in safari when I use the toggle to see all my open webpages. When I click on one it will revert to another one that I didn’t click on. It’s bizarre then I’ll click on the one I want again and it will open the webpage. I have about 10 webpages open.

By my opinion, all what people are describing are software issues , yes that can also be hardware issues
If its hardware , by now aomeone would realise something , but then again maybe it wouldnt

Dont know what to say or think anymore.
Sometimes , keyboard works more than fluid , sometimes it wont work at all.
It works , it dont , thats why I think its software

I agree with this the display text does not move freely it’s not a test for this.
