Yes, it's that kind of situation that happens to us. Welcome to the team 😭

Unbelievable that we have these issues in 2024, I mean is not like an iPhone has had multi touch since 2007, right?

Wow I thought I didn’t have touch issues. But playing Balatro + really showed them to you. It doesn’t register my input when selecting cards, wanting to sort them differently, selecting options from menu, etc. this doesn’t happen at all in my iPad Pro M2 but appears in every game session in my iPhone, making it very frustrating to play. Anyone else discovered the issue like this? This is a release day phone.
Welcome aboard…I think that iPhone with battery built july august and September have problems

I have September and Lg screen

I love my phone everythink is okay
It's super strange. Because there are LG or Samsung screens both working well, and the same happens with the month of manufacture, it is independent of the date of origin. I took out the screen protector and the difference is noticeable. Almost no mistakes, but it shouldn't be like that. The screen definitely has less sensitivity to touch, with protector it shows and I insist that other models with protector do not have that problem at all.

No touch issues with my 16P, battery built in september. I don’t know how to find out the screen manufacturer. Where do I get this information?

My colleague got an iPhone 16PM, battery built in october. I helped with setup everything (she’s a first time iPhone user as well and a bit older 🤭) and noticed some odd touch issues, especially in the corners and occasional stuttering when scrolling.

It’s super random, In my case, removing the screen protector (Spigen) produced a huge change.

For me about once or twice a day when I wake the screen notice the screen misses touches. If I try to scroll on websites, messages etc. the touch input will stutter like 15FPS. It's not the phone but the touch panel that's stuttering. If I lock and unlock the screen its fixed also if I let the screen start to dim and wake it up its fine. Cleary something is not kicking in with the touch panel at times when the phone is unlocked. I'm certain its software since it is fine 99% of the time and is resolved by locking and unlocking the phone. It's annoying at times but I'm not going through the trouble to swap the phone or restore it etc.
honestly it's hard to rule out the hardware based only on this. Lock-unlock will also reset any ghost touches - so if you keep touching the screen but hold your finger perfectly still, this input will be ignored by design after unlock. Hence it fixing itself with lock-unlock can make sense regardless if it's hardware or not.

but you should maybe try some app for testing multitouch to see what it registers when it does happen

Hi, news from Apple?
Hi!, I was called by a technician who knows less than I know about the problem, he made me do a series of things in order, from turning off the phone, to restoring all the settings, we got to that point, I couldn't continue talking because we'll resume it on Tuesday. According to him, this protocol must be followed, to burn stages and thus reach a final solution...

Thank u for your support!
Usual Thing of Apple.
Usual lose time…
Now I take off glass protection.
I’m tired

16 Pro Max here battery built in October. With or without screen protector makes no difference for me. I have big hands so no issue with multiple points of contact. Ran diagnostics with apple support and they said a defect was detected so I’m exchanging for replacement. Wonder if I’ll get something better or worse. We’ll see.

This is the first time (and I've had a fair few: 3S, 4S, 5S, 6, 10 Pro, 13 Pro Max) that i've ever had a screen be non-responsive. :(

Interesting, the camera button is logical, you have to remember that the touch did not work well when you put your hand or finger on that area, so they corrected it with iOS 18.0.1, they corrected that but this other problem appeared. Anyway, I carried out all the steps, we'll see if something happens.
