Haha well I came in here wondering if it was just me. At first I thought I had no issue but the more I’ve used this phone the more this thing drives me insane. Picked mine up on launch day and it just feels so laggy and does not register touches. I did just perform the software update and I do feel like there is a slight difference. Time will tell. My 14 Pro Max felt faster then my 16 pro max due to the screen responsiveness.

Is it dangerous x my phone a public beta?
Bro, in my case beta 2, iOS 18.3 is spectacular. I haven't had any problems. You must consider that it will take between 24 and 48 hours to index everything, during that period you may have lags, but after that nothing (In my case). In fact, I haven't had any problems of any kind so far. I'm tempted to put a screen protector on it again, but I got used to it and prefer to enjoy it like this, naked. At the end, I think it is just things and we should enjoy it. Greetings!

If there's one thing I hate about modern internet, it's the endless pit of troubleshooting websites and videos that all just give you a generic list of basic steps for any problem and don't actually address the specific issue you were trying to fix...
This video is not the case, it is specific and not at all generic, in fact restoring the dictionary of my keyboard solved the lag problems I had. There are very generic videos, that's true, this one instead talks about very specific things, it served me, maybe someone else can also serve, it's a small contribution, if it doesn't help you or someone else, well, I'm sorry. At my age I don't have time to hate, just thank, and what doesn't bring me, well I let it go. Greetings and have a nice day.

It’s better than iOS 18.2?

That’s today

Sure, it mostly talks about specific things that aren't actually specific to fixing this specific issue.

Assistive Touch - Tracking Sensitivity? That setting only applies when you're using a trackpad with your phone.
Use Third Party Keyboard Apps? How is that a "fix..."
Wipe the screen? Cmon...
Restart your phone...? Check for updates....? Factory reset iPhone? Useless.

If resetting your keyboard dictionary actually fixed your keyboard issue, well then good-- but let's give it some time to make sure it's not placebo effect. :D

Hey!

I just got my 16 Pro Max yesterday and it is a great phone. But I am having serious issues with the touch sensitivity on the display. I am using a Belkin Screen Protector installed by the staff at Apple Store and I notice that the screen is sometimes unresponsive to touch. It is most apparent while typing on the keyboard or playing games that require lots of touch actions.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue? I consider removing the screen protector to see if it helps but I am not very keen on using a $1500 phone unprotected.

Hoping that it is a software issue and not hardware.

/ Jacob
I think it's a common issue. I have the same problem on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and I had that issue on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

18.2.1 seemed to fix it for me. Battery manufacture date October 2024. Using the belkin screen protector installed by Apple Store. I don’t think I’ve had touch issues in days! Finally. If I run into any more random lag, I’ll try and update here but it seems good now

I think we all should look into particular apps which causing touch issues instead of looking into phones models, battery manufacturing dates etc, I randomly found touch screen issues in WhatsApp.

Indeed, there are applications that are not yet optimized. And there are also people who don't use those applications (WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.) Those who do not use it perceive less or perhaps no problem in the sensitivity of their screen.

True! Apps as LinkedIn, all apps that have the back button on upper side right and left.
