Yeah it really sucks that icon support does not work. I can't believe it would be that different from 7.0.4 to 7.1.. I wonder if anyone can figure out a modification that will get it to work. This is a huge downfall otherwise.

There are few that doesn't work or misbehave under 7.1. The fact is until there is a clear sign of jailbreak for 7.1(Betas don't promise anything) developers might not update their tweaks to work with 7.1.
 
I'm pretty pleased most tweaks currently out that work with ios 7 work with 7.1b2.

Noslowanimations is great on my rMini

Agreed most work but I'd hate to miss out on theming and really making the device stand out with tweaks like home screen designer :(
 
I have been running 7.1b2 since it came out, and now that I am JB and some tweaks aren't compatible, I am going back to 7.04. I don't think it will be a big loss for me.

Anyone else going back?
 
I just changed the identifier in that same place from 7.1 to 7.0.4 and everything seems to work that I've tried.

If iconsupport works via future update ill definitely go back. Most icon tweaks rely on it

My iphone 5 says 7.0.4 in cydia but 7.1 on rMini. Changed p list and hard reset and closed app in background. Any ideas? Should this be cause of concern?

edit: just restored and reapplied plist mod, cydia displays 7.0.4 now :D

both devices do, the pad and the iphone 5 :D :D

i figured now is the perfect time while the window is still open.

Never forget, we are the league of extraordinary beta 2 gentlemen.

UNDISPUTED! But we need icon support or we basically can't change anything in the SB appearance :( we need a hack or update to allow this!
 
i have been on beta 2 for a couple of days now (ipad 2) and today i did the hack to remove the expiration date. since doing that, i cannot get the mail app to work. anyone else have this issue or know of a resolution?

Great news. Maybe Apple have decided to let the jailbreak be...?? Extremely wishful thinking but wouldn't it be nice???!!!

Jailbreaking brings so much more polish to an already very refined product! It serves to enhance the user experience quite significantly. In such a competitive market would Apple not encourage any advantage to be gained over said competitors regardless of the source??

For me personally, my jail broken 5c gives it just enough extra for it to be preferred as my default handset which would otherwise be my S4.

indeed, jailbroken ios, straight out of the box, would be a gamechanger

but I will not get my hopes up, Apple are champions of the walled garden
 
Yeah I wouldn't jump to any conclusions yet. For all we know they just released the beta 3 that was out before the holidays / Jailbreak. If beta 4 (if there is one) doesn't patch anything, then maybe we can start thinking about the possibility of getting a 7.1 GM/Final without patches.....but I still think its unlikely. Would be good though :(
