It's funny how these stats prompt people to say which one is better. Apple released two phones - one out sells the other 3 to 1. Oh by the way, we will also reveal that we have production constraints so we don't even know the true ratio but feel free to interpret what these numbers mean.

I agree. If the true number is 3/1 that only means more people prefer it. That doesn't tell us why (price, size?) and it certainly doesn't say which is better since everyone's reason for liking one vs. another is different.

I have both the 6 and 6+. The 6 is the perfect compromise between size and portability. The 6+ screen, however, is so nice. It's become my daily driver, and I've gotten used to the size for the most part. If only the bezels were smaller, I definitely wouldn't notice it in my pocket as much.

I have no doubt that the majority prefer the 6. By how much remains to be seen though until the 6+ supply catches up with demand. Even the supply for the 6 isn't up to the point where you can walk into a carrier store and choose any color/size configuration that you want yet. If you want a 16GB Space Grey though you can probably find a 6 and a 6+ in stock at some stores.

This really proves the 6 is better than the 6 Plus.

May want to edit your comment. It just shows the 6 is more in supply than the 6 Plus currently. Does not make one better than the other. Personal preference is what will make the difference in sales percentages in the end. I won't be surprised in the end if the 6 out sells the Plus, but I will not be surprised if it is the other way around either.

iPhone 6+ all the way.... everyone knows that bigger is always better :p

One of the main problems with the iPhone 6 Plus (besides the bending) is that it is really just a larger iPhone 6. It does not take advantage of the larger screen like, for example, the Note 4 does. It ads nothing. Also why is its bezel so huge?

If your hand can handle the 6+ one-handed and do itCOMFORTABLY, then apparently, your hands are not-normal sized. One handed means that you don't have to slide or perform yoga tricks with your fingers to reach certain areas. One handed also means that you have enough reach (without sliding the phone down) to never ever use the reachability double tap feature. That said most Android phones nowadays with decently sized screens are not built for one-handed use either (except maybe the 2013 Moto X). The last one-handed smart phone was truly the iphone 5S.

I just use my phone. Nothing else matters.

I purchased a 6+ and I couldn't be happier. My phone is always in my purse and I type with two hands. So, I really had no trouble adjusting to the size and I love the screen real estate. There is no way I could go back to a smaller phone now.

For my wallet, it was either get a 64GB 6 or 16GB 6+
Then I went in store and determined that the 6 felt like the right size and I could still use it one handed.

Then don't get one. Let the other millions of people get one and don't pass judgement for other's phone choices. Be happy with yours.

Interesting point that you passed judgement on me by assuming I was judging others.

I never said the iPhone6 or 6+ was wrong for others. I would be happy with a more compact, latest generation iPhone, but Apple no longer makes it.

I knew this! I don't think that factor will change much when apple catches up production levels with demand.

...really, oghowie? I have the 6, which is a little too big in the pocket, and can't one-hand it well, not without rearranging my hand so I can't grip it and it feels like I'm going to drop it. I still wish they would have gone with 4.3" instead, could have one-handed that...but, otherwise the iPhone 6 is superb!!

I've not yet understood the appeal to anything bigger than the 6...for a phone, it's a phone for kcuf's sake! I have an iPad Mini for when I want a larger screen.

Because many people like myself have big hands.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't want the 6 plus. I guess to each their own.

I regularly use my phone when I run. I use a running app and also stream music. The 6 just barely fits into my Spibelt. The 6+ would just be too large. I don't know where I would put it. I also can still somewhat use the 6 with one hand. The 6+ would make that next to impossible.

Battery. Bigger/better screen. That's all you really need to want to take the Plus over the 6. I used to charge my 5S 2-3 times per day to keep it at a decent level. Girlfriend still has to on her new 6. My 6 Plus lasts all day. Easily. No matter what the usage. I'm never under 25% when I go to bed at night now.

Probably doesn't hurt that the iPhone 6 inventory has been about 10x more available compared to the 6 Plus

It's funny when I see statistics like these because of all the iPhones I see, they're the 6 Plus. I don't think I've seen just a 6 out and about.

Otherwise, I couldn't be happier with the iPhone 6 Plus.

Many people opt for the iPhone 6 because the Plus is almost never in stock

Also, with a Plus I can actually go a day, even with HEAVY USE, and not have to worry about being close to a charger

it's crazy becasue when i first got my 6+, it felt huge coming from my 5. My wife got the 6 and i kept thinking "maybe i should have gotten the same as her". But after a few weeks, the 6+ size is perfect for me...and her 6 feels like a toy in my hands.
