I think the iPhone 6 Plus should of been of a different design. Blowing up the iPhone 6 to 5.5" doesn't help in terms of its handling. I'm not saying it ugly but I think the bezels should of been a lot smaller both on the sides and top. The LG G3 is perfect example of having a large screen but with small bezels.

I'd like to see Apple incorporate the touch ID sensor into the screen some how so it can rid of the home button. I think in time this will eventually happen just maybe not in the next few years.

An awful lot of people seem to be trying to justify their compromise choices on this thread. There is no doubt the ratios would be different if availability were equal.

Plus affords far more battery, more real estate on the screen, better photos. It has completely replaced my iPad. The battery life is incredible. Performance is excellent.

Capacity of 128 Gb is a boon for travel. It's easy to carry in a sport jacket pocket, or in a Waterfield Spinn holster when dressed down. No folding, spindling or mutilation despite long hours tucked into motorcycle leathers.

It is a great device.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't want the 6 plus. I guess to each their own.

After owning the 6 plus, I agree I don't know why anyone wouldn't want it. It becomes the norm, and all other phones feel tiny and stupid by comparison. I get legitimately over 2 and a half days of battery out of normal use. I'm a 5'11 guy, and I can use it with one hand fairly easily as I've perfected how to shift it around in your hand.

I agonized for weeks about whether I would hate the plus, and its funny to look back on it as the phone just seems normal to me now.

I'd be tempted by the 6+ but think I'd still get just the 6... not that it matters with a contract I'm waiting on the 6s and 6s+ and maybe the better camera and other bits will come to the smaller model next year, maybe the choice easier.

People realize that this is still 60M 6+ phones from late 2014 to September 2015 (about 20B in profits!). The fact the 6+ are supply constrained makes me think the 6+ demand is at least as much as what Apple expected (I'D say it has exceeded it grandly).

Considering Apple has a bigger profit margin on those phones AND their keeping money away from the competition, the 6+ sales are pretty sweet.

Also, previously older phones have a bigger percentage so either they are selling less, or you have most people buying the newer phones.

I had a note 3 and hoped it would work as a phone and tablet but found it compromised on both - too big to use as an everyday phone and too small to be an effective tablet.
Because of this I never even considered a 6+ and couldn't be happier with my 6 (and air 2)

Or people ditching their iPad minis for the plus which means people consolidating devices which is good for those that do but may not be great for iPad sales.

Yep, the three people I know who got plusses all sold their iPad Mini's afterward.

The difference in PPI can't be noticed at normal viewing distance, oh, and don't say you can notice because you really can't. Battery, yeah, alright, it's better but not by miles and the OIS is good but I compared the two and couldn't see a major difference, minor, yes.

Believe me. Huge difference in battery. The 6 is barely better than an earlier model. The 6 Plus is better than any bigger battery phone I've seen even. As far as camera.. depends on how much you shake for pictures, and in low light. Usually you won't notice, but in certain conditions you will. Video is a huge difference. Either way, the 6 Plus is obviously the better phone. There's no way to argue it. It has everything the 6 has, plus more.

Is anyone surprised by this, Apple hit the sweet spot that Android hit with about 4.7". So what is up with those past reports claiming the Plus was outselling the 6

Hard to outsell the 6, if Apple can't even make enough of the 6 Plus to go around. I personally know several people that are still waiting until the 6 Plus becomes readily avialable.

The thing I find is that many people get the iPhone 6 over the 6 Plus because it's easier to find or their IT department ordered 6s only. Try finding the unicorn out there (unless you want a Sprint phone). The 128gb 6 Plus is nearly impossible to find.

The survey data, shared in a research note published today by UBS analyst Steven Milunovich, indicates that 91 percent of iPhone owners bought either an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus in the first four weeks of launch

Surely that statement is wrong. I know a lot of iPhone owners, and none of them have upgraded to the iPhone 6 or 6+ yet. I know my data set is low, but I just think if Apple got over 90% of the iPhone install base in the US to upgrade to the 6 or 6+ there would be more headlines.
