WTF? Now I'm even more depressed. How much more rubbish can they get??

So much for a superior shopping experience! Apparently that only applies in the US where they've already received their laptops! Quite why we in Europe are waiting so long is beyond me, for a "premium" retailer their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

So does my tracking info (the pics on the previous page of posts) mean that my order is miles away still as the tracking number is for Syncreon Technology and that page (when you click on the track this shipment button) says 31st october but apple says my delivery date is 5th-6th nov.

does that mean its just 31st oct to the next stage and i'll get a UPS or TNT tracking number after that?? i'm really confused about how people can know so much about where their order is.

I only ordered on the online store to get an academic discount. I am never, ever ordering anything from Apple directly again, their US customers all have their products. We're 2nd class citizens in Apple's eyes, the irony when Jony Ive the guy who designs all the products is a Brit!

If you are with TNT then put the tracker number into the international tracker, it gives you updates even though they're within Britain.

The National tracker doesn't work for me, so give the international one a try if you're having problems!

Okay what the f*** does this crap mean.....

So it got to Germany, left and got to the Netherlands, then went back to Germany? I did order an apple remote with it, perhaps it is the two meeting up in the Netherlands and then back to Germany to get sent to me?

They are going to need to travel overnight to get onto a UPS truck tomorrow morning for my expected delivery date.

My Apple tracking info is as follows:

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 28 Oct 2008 (Subject to change)

Sadly there is no Apple store anywhere near me, yet again the irony - Ive went to uni in Newcastle yet the NE is the only major UK area without an Apple store!

As you know mine seems to be in the the same shipment container , so mine also followed the above route , I have no remote but have ordered 4GB RAM.

I do wounder why the heck these shipments are moving around so much it is just madness and not at all 'Green' ! In terms of carbon footprints this is poor ,these are sorts of things Steve was so proud of during the macbook release , remember the pic of the 'green' plane! I wounder if Steve is aware of the crazy shipping routes of the courier services used by Apple !

I've emailed Steve Jobs for whatever it's worth, maybe someone from Apple will get back to me with an explanation/apology?!

If you are with TNT then put the tracker number into the international tracker, it gives you updates even though they're within Britain.

The National tracker doesn't work for me, so give the international one a try if you're having problems!

which no are you using? the really long one?

Which is the tracking number that is required?

The Carrier Tracking Number on the shipment status page, above the assigned carrier info. Should be 9 digits. I get more detailed results if i enter my information on the international tracker on the tnt homepage, as opposed to the national one, which just says "please call"
Hope this helps those of you that are having problems!

psh i havent even been given one .. despite having ordered 14th (1hr after keynote)

I'm the same. Could it be because we have changed the spec of the macbook or added other items like ipod and printer or have some people just been given this number and some people not?

Whats this all about???!!!

Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment Delayed - 27 Oct 2008

Shipment delayed, you dont say?

Damn... I hope my MacBook doesn't get delayed like some of yours.

I'm from Canada. It shipped on Oct. 25th, and it's supposed to arrive by Oct. 31st. Fingers crossed... :/

I was on the mac store seconds after keynote finished, haveing wasted an hour reading the live feed whilst periodically clicking refresh on the apple store.

I was one of the sad people first to order a macbook online.

Still with me?

I didn't want to wait, I phoned up and complained, they gave me £50 to shut up! Try it... I think I did pretty well, 15% off as a student, £95 back on an iPod and this £50. Shut me up. However it still only says prepared to ship on my status...
