UK - Anyone's Macbook Shipped Yet?

I told them I thought it was unacceptable that I waited online till the second the store re-opened, while others in America were getting next day delivery no matter when they ordered.

Oh, and I said I might as well go Dell since the Apple education discount is now so crummy and the price point so high.

its been 5 days now since it shipped on 23rd..

man.. i can swim to china & back in that time :p haha

still no tracking info.. and i hope mine isn't delayed as some of you guys... but I've just got a bad feeling about this.

someone must know where it is... be it still in china or whatever... how hard is it to make this information accessible?

to the guy who emailed steve jobs... ROFL!!! - let us know if you get a reply :)

no movement on mine either - still awaiting carrier tracking number. At least I know that it is in Hinckley, UK waiting for the nano. I wish they would say how long it will take to get the nano at the depot though.

Hey!

I called Apple and was told that it takes around 5 days from the order is shipped from Shanghai till you're able to track it.

We're waiting for your status :rolleyes:
 
i ordered mine on the 15th and now it says:

Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change)
29 Oct 2008 (Subject to change)

Current Delivery Status
In Transit to Customer -
Shipment Delayed
27 Oct 2008

Also no Tracking info, I don't even know whose delivering the thing! What a headache!

I think it's gonna be a long wait...

its day 6 now and still no tracking info...

just called apple, and this time was answered by a nice lady from the uk who actually knew what she was talking about!

anyway, my package is apparently in Luxembourg awaiting to be assigned to a courier... which she said would happen this thursday!!! so it's still gonna be sitting there for 2-3 days before anything happens? what a joke!!!!

then it will make its way to the UK and supposedly i should get it on monday 3rd november!!! :eek:

Morning all, unsurprisingly nothing has changed overnight...

It does seem those who have ordered iPods/software have been delayed significantly by Apple. And as an added insult have no ability to track their parcel.

Hopefully for those who like me ordered on the 14th, should receive some tracking/courier details today, but that's about all I'm hoping for.

Thats terrible, i'd try to get some compensation for that delay!

hasn't updated since last friday (24th)
 
My status is now "Preparing handover to final carrier", "In Transit to Customer - Shipment Delayed" yesterday. Hoping that means it'll arrive today, maybe tomorrow.

I ordered with iPod and printer on day of keynote.

First Mac I've bought (and first iPod - direct from apple at least) ...Can't say I'm impressed with the whole delivery situation. If it doesn't have any defects (other than slanted keys I guess) then I probably won't mind in the end. :p

Mine is the same and apparently the distribution centre is in Hinkley and this sis there they are atm
 
Mine has changed status from 'shipment delayed' to 'preparing for handover to final carrier.'
Hopefully it wont need to be 'prepared' for very long!

Who knows really, i've noticed they can get from Germany to delivered to doors in the space of 6 hours so its all just a waiting game really.

Once the carrier gets the package they seem to have to problem delivering it very quickly indeed. Its all this back and forth with packages being ready or 'prepared...' :rolleyes:
