UK - Anyone's Macbook Shipped Yet?

Arg. Website now says Available for Final Delivery to Customer today.
But i'm having it delivered to work.
so do i go home now, and risk it coming later tonight and me missing it and having to wait till tommorrow
or
stay at work when it probably wont come till tommorrow.
may go and camp out by the post room - except its bloomin freezin.

Can you not check if it's really out for delivery today using the courier tracking number?
Absolutely, I couldn't agree more. Just thought I'd get a kick out of sticking it to the man with some bitchy comments.
My macbook will takes aaaages regardless of what I say - such is Apple's disrespect for non-US customers.

I think it's great; no reflection or glare whatsoever when correctly positioned, regardless of screen brightness. It's probably due to the light source in my room, though; the single bulb is exceptionally bright, but mounted to a very high ceiling. Thus, the room is well lit, but there is no light focused on the macbook screen. If I change the screen angle so that I can see the bulb's reflection in it, for example, the glare is blinding.
Yay, I can track it on the TNT site using the Apple number as a reference.

Just to let you know that after a persistent and polite telephone conversation with a US Apple representative on the UK customer support line, they have agreed to give me a £50 credit on my order because of the delays.
However, they knew little or nothing about where my computer is! I quote "it might be delivered tomorrow. Or it might be within the week."
As a cash strapped student, I'm happy with the delay and the £50! But it does seem incredibly poor service.

Received a tracking number and my courier on the Apple page is updated to show TNT. Called TNT earlier and they said they collected it from Apple's distribution center today and its now in transit to my local TNT office and will be out for delivery in the morning.
I actually called my local office to see if i could pick it up if it came in tonight as they operate 24hrs but i can wait a bit longer... Very excited now.

TNT regognises my apple reference number thing but theres no data there.

Me too! Hoping for delivery tomorrow (Sweden) although it's not due for delivery until friday...
For people who ordered prior to the 16th (when I placed my order), how many days after receiving the "Current Delivery Status In transit to destination country - next updates expected in 4-5 business days" update did you receive tracking information?
I only received it today. 4-5 business days from now would mean next Tuesday at the earliest that I get another update. Delivery would be Wednesday at the earliest. The 5th! That's basically 4 weeks after ordering. Ridiculous.

wtf i ordered on 14th and got no tracking number till now. still stuck on "Preparing handover to final carrier 27 Oct 2008".
im in the same situation as you... mind you a phone call to apple informed me that my macbook was indeed in luxemburg about 900-1000 miles from its destination in the uk
i still dont have my tracking info.... allthough i was GUARANTEED delivery by 4th of november by apple employee - and god help apple if it doesnt arrive on or before the 4th of november
Wow, I feel for you guys. I can't imagine why it could take so freaking long. I ordered mine from Amazon on the 23rd and received it on the 24th. One day shipping. I am in the US, but the discrepancy seems quite appalling.
The consignment number and TNT are now on my shipment status page, but when I track it with TNT I get:

Ordered my standard 2.0 macbook on the 21st, and it was shipped on the 26th.. and was given an estimated delivery of 05th Nov - 06th. But i also have a second estimated delivery date (subject to change) as the 1st. I'm not sure which one to go on - any ideas? And does anyone have any idea when i will be able to track my order or when my 'current delivery status' will change. It is currently on 'shipment dispatched' as of the 28th.

Well the 1st is a Saturday, so it won't be then. Normally the estimate is conservitive so you can expect it sooner.

Same - I ordered on the 24th, the apple website is telling me both that it is estimated to arrive on the 4th-5th, but also on the 3rd.
Who knows.
