UK - Anyone's Macbook Shipped Yet?

W00T I HAVE MY MACBOOK PRO
I am the happiest person on the planet right now and am writing this on my MBP 2.8GHZ 320gb 7200 rpm hdd and it is fast - real fast.
thanks to all the people in the thread that made the wait somewhat berable.
Now i am going to caress my prescious while it stores all my music at a transfer rate that never was possible on windows :D

Last night Apple finally gave me a (TNT) tracking number.

According to the TNT track service my delivery arrived at the London City warehouse at 6:20 this morning (31st Oct).

What concerns me is that the status is "Exception" and there's an exclamation mark to the left of my reference number - is this usual?

This morning Apple's order tracking page updated by shipment to "delayed".

I was hopeful of an ex-ante pre-weekend delivery, is this unlikely now?

Must be my lucky day - TNT status is now "out for delivery" :D

i'm also loving my macbook too :)

i guess after what we've ben through, its now a real relief to finally have your order and forget all about the "delays" etc. :D

tell me about it... now i just need to find that oem copy of windows xp lol
mind you osx is blisteringly fast as this is my first mac i am really impressed and im loving the keyboard

Updated this afternoon to "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 31 Oct 2008"

Fingers crossed for Monday! Or at least some tracking info by then....anything to pass the time!!!:D

I was waiting two days for an update storm shadow but still no tracking details.
 
I thought people might want to know this, I called Apple (again), apparently they received a notice today that there is a 24h delay on merge in transit orders (i.e. anything with more than just a macbook). The merging + delivery of my order has proved pretty useless so far.
 
My status says
Preparing handover to final carrier
No result for TNT reference number... :(

Any one knows that how many messages i would see after this Preparing handover to final carrier message???? :D

tired of seeing the status page :(

it looks like you haven't got that long to wait now..
after i had that message, the next day it went to "in transit" and then the same evening i got the tracking number.. with delivery the next day..
so i'd say in 2 business days you'll have your notebook :)

same here. i ordered on the 14th though :S. Under the assigned carrier i have "NL DISTRIBUTION CENTER" and also now i got a tracking number which is the same as the Delivery Reference Number. This sucks....like a lot

Damn that sucks. Timmbo did your order ship on 24th? Did they give you any more of an idea of when to expect to either receive it or at least to receive a tracking number (ie when it gets handed to TNT/UPS) ???
 
Yes it did ship on the 24th. They said to expect it on Tuesday, and there was a small chance it would arrive on Monday. However, having just checked my order status, the current delivery status reads 'Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date'. When I choose 'British Time' (instead of 'time local to the event), the estimated date is tomorrow, 1st November.

The carrier is listed as 'UK distribution centre'. Since my order is an '80*' number, I'm guessing it'll be TNT. Tracking doesn't show any more information yet.

The lady on the phone from Apple said also said she thinks that TNT do Saturday delivery. Here's to hoping that it arrives tomorrow :/. I'm not holding my breath though.

Seems like we're in a similar situation buddy. Keep each other posted on updates!

On further reading of other people's experiences, I think we'll get more tracking info later tonight.

I was told the same thing earlier today although my status is still on "in transit to customer". When did yours change from that to "Delivery scheduled by final carrier" Timmbo??

Did yours change to in transit to customer (the status before the one you have now) yesterday? if so then im a day behind you. mine shipped 24th/25th (depending on time zone) so if i can get an update tomorrow maybe i can call tnt/ups and go pick it up from there and have my order before the end of the weekend.

that would just be too good to be true though with the way this has all gone!

It changed to 'In transit to customer' sometime this morning (any time between 12 midnight to like 7:30am). I don't think they do updates on weekends.

my currently delivery status finnaly changed this evening! it now says 'In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule' and my estimate delivery dates are the 1st, 5th and 6th. anyone have any idea when my macbook will be here or when i will be able to track it?

mine changed to that earlier today abd they told me tuesday or monday. im hopeing tnt or ups get it over the weekend and i can just go and pick it up. according to apple, all that status means is that it has cleared customs and is one the way to hinckley leicestershire to the apple distribution centre. i asked if i could go there as im in loughborough which is down the road but they said no.

oh well, bring on monday
 
Aaaaah it's at the depot... but it's 7 miles away and I haven't got my car here. AAAAAAAAAAAH! Waiting until Monday will never have seemed so long.
