Since updating to 10.1 the 3G 4G Switch issue has gone all works as expected, update out yesterday 10.1.1 however not updating, as working fine and worried it might break it again, if anyone else has updated to 10.1.1 and is on the 3 network let me know how you're getting on

mine seems fine so far. gone from wifi to 4G to 3G to 4G to a call on 3G back to 4G

I've given up as in most aspects of performance I find the 6s faster and more reliable

My 7 is miles faster than my 6 for doing basic things and now the network issues seem mostly sorted, if not completely I don't have any issues with it.

I'm on Three, and updated my 7 to 10.1.1 last night. (From 10.1)

Was working fine on 10.1, and still seems to be all good on 10.1.1.

Well, apart from the increased battery drain that I first noticed when I went to 10.1.

thats probably

Thats probably due to being on 4G more, which is more battery intensive, plus a more aggressive retry mechanism to get back to 4G

Since updating to 10.1.1 the issue is still not fixed. Finds 4G initially but then reverts to 3G and rarely moves back. Also, calls are going straight to voicemail despite showing full 3G signal.

Three tell me that the phone is not switching properly.....(i knew this).....and that the phone is not registering fully onto 3G when it comes back.

I also now getting very slow speeds on 3G.

I have moved to multiple locations so this is not a localised issue.

I'm using a 7 Plus

Not sure if this help some of you.

I have a 6s+ and my fiancee has an SE and we are on Three here in UK.

We where unable to send mms.

Three gave us some setting to change in the APN settings.
Proxy settings where incorrect.

Wonder if this might affect some of you on 4G as well?
maybe the APN is incorrect?

I may be miles off but might help

did you try resetting your network settings on the device?

The new proxy: 217.171.129.2
The old proxy: mms.three.co.uk

This may or may not help anyone but we can now send mms pictures.

Just downloaded 10.2 b1 and while I haven't had a chance to fully test the switching yet, I am getting significantly better download speeds when the 4g signal is weak. Hopefully 10.2 will finally fix the issue.

My speeds have been much, much worse on 10.2 b1. Can't get 4g speeds faster than 0.5mbps in areas that are usually fine, literally unusable. Sigh...

It's strange how people are getting such varied results. I just got this brilliant result in just two bars of 4G. Very happy

When I do get 4G, it's fast but the problem is that I only get it by switching 4G off and on or airplane mode off and on.

Otherwise I stay on 3G often unable to receive calls

my work area in milton keynes is stupid. 4G is only 10mbps down but 32mbps upload. Who needs that upload speed? Surely its this upload speed that is making the 4g speeds slower?

10.2 b1 seems much more stable to me and so far haven't had to force it on to 4g at all, but haven't been able to properly test it yet.

mines fine on the 7 128GB jet black with latest official software

Today I did notice i wasn't on 4G when I should have been however and a quick air plane mode fixed it. Otherwise its been switching fine - checking on it regularly

Thanks guys but still seems to be different results. Was thinking of maybe trying it again before or for Christmas
