Are you sure it's going via UPS?

Not at all but TNT doesn't work either... I'm not sure who else Apple uses...I have tried UPS, TNT, DHL, Parcelforce and FEDEX. Are you just using the numbers from apple order status or did you get additional numbers from a courrier/Apple?

I also set up the text service from Apple, but have not yet received anything - have you?

EDIT: Apple status has just changed to "In Transit to Customer" :)

He's a lucky bastard who got his Courier info from the word go. None of us appear to have such luck.

I'm sure it'll be fine, what's your est delivery date?

Thursday, but apparently it will be out for delivery tomorrow (according to someone on the phone down at UPS).

----------

So strange how we all get different tracking information, or even none at all. How can there be such a breakdown in communication? I suggest you all call Apple tomorrow, surely they will know who the courier is.

Night all :) let's hope tomorrow is a good day! :apple:

Apple status update: "Delivery scheduled by final carrier, see estimated delivery date"

That's Friday, 17th! It should come tomorrow! Amazon can deliverey way faster than this. It really takes the piss if it actually takes 7 days to ship. (5-7 days, shipping - 5 days is tomorrow although it actually "shipped" on the 9th August)

"Delievery service" is still blank so I don't know who will be delivering it. I'm going to call Apple tomorrow...

Exactly the same as yours. What number will you ring, the generic 0800 one that's on their site?

Hi everyone,

This is my first time here so please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong place.

I ordered a rMBP on 27/7 and it finally arrived today! After over 2 and a half weeks which felt like an eternity!

However, there's one issue that stands out to me - the trackpad appears very much lower on the left hand corner compared to the right hand side, which appears flush with the unibody. This is my very first mac so I have no idea if this is normal?!?!?!

If anyone would be able to help me out I would greatly appreciate it, or please point me in the direction of who/where someone can!

Thank you ever so much! Best wishes for everyone else receiving their macbooks soon!

Check your Apple status again!!!!

Mine has changed to deliverey estimate 15th August... TOMORROW :D Assigned carrier is UPS and I have an official tracking number. UPS is showing 2 packages ... I thought the EDU giftcard was "merged" into the same box?

If you don't see this, just ring the generic Apple number for the UK.

I hope you get it too!

UPS and my delivery estimate is also tomorrow! Win! :D

Nope, you'll get two separate packages  I ordered a MagSafe to MagSafe2 adaptor and that came in a Jiffy Bag and the MBP in a box. Makes the whole merge business - which adds a day or two to the delivery time - a joke. Why they can't dispatch the MBP from LHR and the other bits from Hinckley is beyond me.

Trust me though, it will be worth the wait :D

Out for delivery from Abingdon 6:55. Awesome! Mind you, Abingdon is miles away from me (Odiham).

Apple day :apple::apple::apple::apple:

Exactly, I mean for the sake of a tiny card, why not just throw it in the box at the factory in china... even if it means manufacturing them there... (I guess they are made in Cork, Ireland like some other Apple "accesories".

Out for deliverey today!

Or why the hell not just email/text the bloody number. Ridiculous the extra resources (materials + labour) and our own time to send a ****** piece of plastic that bears no importance beyond the digits on it...

I know right! They do it with OS X redemption codes and Applecare now I think... It's going straight on the Macrumors marketplace when I get it :p

I'm gonna call Apple and ask for it refunded, because Django didn't have to choose the card when he ordered. I'll tell them a mate got an option for a £70 discount instead and I would like the card cancelled for a refund.

Mine left Tamworth at 5.15am which is 40 minutes away from me... Y U NOT HERE YET?!

At least you know it's coming! The expeditors status changed to ready for delivery not long ago, but I doubt things are gonna move very quickly. Can't believe customs takes 2 days... When did you get the ready for delivery status? Just as a reference, to see if I'll get it Friday or not.

Oh, my.. Christ. It's here and it's simply beautiful. I've never had a mac before and although I've had to wait for what seems like an age for it, I'm very much glad I did.

For those of you who are still waiting, keep strong, it's so worth it in the end.

Mine changed to 'ready for delivery' yesterday morning, and yesterday evening (at like midnight, they must work all hours!) I got my UPS tracking number. So fingers crossed you may get yours tomorrow!

Hmm when did it merge then? Yesterday, or is that happening today before delivery?

Also Apple track says: "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" (although no courier details given). Obviously it means the courier/next recipient to deal with the package as "customer", but i think thats pretty cheap that Apple word it like that to make any average person think it's coming to them.

I may just do this! I wasn't aware they they can 'track' the card once sent...

Well as it's just a number on their activation servers, all they have to do is check it wasn't activated then nullify it.

Disclaimer: probably not a scientifically accurate description, but yeah.
