That's interesting. I installed all three applications from the DVD, and iPhoto and iMovie are showing as $14.99 in the App Store. GarageBand is the only one listed for free.
I'm sure it's a bug as they've just been released; try again tomorrow.

I'm updating my iOS apps right now, but Apple want me to pay for the Pages update. I have obviously paid money for the app on a previous occasion. Is there something I've missed or is it just a bug?
Ok, that sucks. But still. For programs you use every day? I don't see the huge deal. Surely everyone had 20-30 bucks put aside for mavericks? Use that toward the apps you use?
It's little like me whining my DVD player doesn't support blu/rays. Waghh. Give me free stuff. I bought that in good faith years ago
Everyone does realise that when people bought iWork 09 on disc (myself included) the iPad wasn't even out. You're essentially arguing, hey
Apple, I insist the software I bought 4 years ago be updated for free to work with my new device that wasn't even released at the time of me buying it.
Existing users running Mavericks can update their apps for free from the Mac App Store℠.

If you have iWork 09 on CD, is this a free upgrade?
Afraid not.
Are you sure? Because I have GarageBand from iLife '09 installed on my Mac, and GarageBand is showing up as "Free" in the Mac App Store. The rest of iLife appears to be $14.99 for me, but that's probably because I never installed them on my Mac.
I can't actually test to see if it works because I'm still running 10.8 and these all apparently require 10.9, but that's what the MAS is telling me for the price.

iMovie for iOS now says Native support for AVCHD video, does this mean I can edit it and create a movie from AVCHD footage from my camera, without having to convert it to Quicktime format. This is the one reason I stopped using iMovie and went to Premiere Elements because the editing of AVCHD was such a pain.
In Premiere elements I can open the native AVCHD file, crop etc and export in seconds, but with iMovie I have to import....wait....then edit and export, then delete the massive imported file.
were they told they were going to get free apps when they bought the new iMac?
You can even reorganize pages IN PAGES!!!!!
Damn APPLE! Really? I am a very loyal Apple guy, but I HATE when they cripple software. Drives me crazy.
I am a Professional Pages/Keynote user. I use it DAILY for many documents, and I may not be able to use the new Pages because of the lack of alignment guides and page layout support.
Is there an actual update for GarageBand? Or do we have to redownload the new "free" version?
** GarageBand is free on the Mac App Store for all compatible Mac computers with OS X Mavericks. Additional GarageBand instruments and sounds are available with an in-app purchase. Downloading apps requires an Apple ID.
