Fortunately, I ordered it on AliExpress, I needed it for work.

My chargeback decision should come in a few days. I really hope it turns out in my favor, although I’m not very optimistic, because French laws often don’t protect the real victims

Also decided to go with a chargeback now. Honestly, that’s absolutely no way to treat customers and the AliExpress order came out at 860€. If VAT is not added on from customs, it might actually turn out cheaper as it should otherwise have no import duties.

I really tried to give Gilles multiple chances but I’m getting sick of the communication attempts.

The thing I’m wondering is, if there are 300 units ready, why wait with shipping?
If units were ready, they'd be shipped. Instead, he ignores customers and racks up chargebacks.

It's the only rational decision at this point. @gilles_polysoft owes at least $200k USD in orders that over 5 months old. He has not been able to deliver these orders, he claims he is processing refunds when requested but it is clear that he is lying about this. Myself and many others in this thread that have requested a refund have simply been ignored, sometimes for months now.

I am currently catching up on processing refund requests, and everything is being taken care of.

If he had any units ready to ship, the update would have said the exact date they were going to ship, or would have said "shipping now" or somesuch. You would not give a random range of a week for that shipping milestone.

Even the dates are weird. Why would you start your shipping date on a Friday (14 November) and not something more logical like the start of the work week?

Also decided to go with a chargeback now.
Welcome to the club mate. Have a look around, help yourself to some snacks!

I wonder if we could get Gilles to update the OP with a link to the tracking spreadsheet to help his customers report how long they've been waiting for a shipment or a reply? 😂 It is tough to remember to keep linking to it every few pages to help our newer visitors find it.

TO AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
Very few updates in 6 months.
Absolutely no professionalism — I strongly advise against using this service; you’ll waste your time and your energy.

Makes promises about deadlines that are never met,
Impossible to reach by phone,
Rarely replies to emails.

He made me come in three times for nothing. After 6 months of waiting, I simply wanted to pick up my device (still not repaired) to take it to someone else, BUT every time I went there, the Mac still wasn’t reassembled…"

Another comment :

A €1200 MacBook dropped off in August 2022 for a motherboard issue. Promises here, excuses there… yet my MacBook is still not repaired to this day (February 2024). I can’t even come and pick it up!

The company cannot be reached by phone, the shop was closed on a Thursday at 3 p.m., they do not reply to the numerous emails I’ve sent. A legal action will be necessary in the next few days to obtain financial compensation for the device and for the endless wait — and also for the claim “Apple Authorized Service Center” displayed on their shop window, which is obviously completely false!

Avoid at all costs!

@KlingmannMusic it looks like someone performed a sort by Order Date on the tracking spreadsheet within the last several hours after the user "fresh.lake1207" added their details. There is a way to do a custom view in Google that will only sort the display for yourself, but whoever it was that ran the sort has sorted it for everyone unfortunately.

As the document owner are you able to undo the sort? It was rather useful to also see the order in which people added their purchases to the sheet but this is now lost because there was not an index column in use.

Just do it, mate. The chargeback is with approval of the seller, because on my order page now it says
11/14/2025SEPA dispute

so i guess he must push the chargeback through his system.

I believe that the dispute status takes hold when Polysoft's payment processor is officially in receipt of the chargeback proceedings and has passed notice on to the merchant. I think from that point, a 45 or 60 day clock starts for the merchant to reply to the dispute. It does not appear that it is up to Polysoft when that status change occurs.

It took a couple of weeks in between when I started the dispute with my CC company and when my order status was updated to "SEPA dispute", but it happened (I believe automatically) on the exact same day that my CC company's dispute tracker notified me that there was an update to the process. The update they notified on was that the merchant had been officially notified of the chargeback, starting the clock for the required response.

Actually still looks like the original on my side. You can see the document versions yourself as well if I’m not mistaken.

In terms of the dispute, that’s automatically done when Stripe reports back that there’s a dispute. Doesn’t mean anything yet but is a good indicator of when it was received by PolySoft.

I just took the bullet and ordered 8TB from Fangyuan as well (but via Taobao not Aliexpress since I have some indirect access to China).

The payment was processed at 18:00, and a package tracking number already showed up in the app at 18:10, lol. So it only took them 10 minutes to print a courier label for pick up. What an ironic difference to what's going on in France.

Did the same on Saturday on AliExpress and same thing. It doesn't appear yet in tracking though. If you don't mind me asking, what was the price on Taobao?
4200 RMB, but for the M1 Studio.
The shipping within China is free. The proxy shipping and payment service charge adds only like 100, since I have someone picking it up in Hong Kong.

I countered check against Aliexpress, the prices are overall at least 10-20% higher there.

The M3 / M4 cards are very expensive, like 6500 RMB for 8TB.

Waiting friday till i go refund, fraud repression and my layer .... i hope i'll get something before the end of the week, i really hope !

@KlingmannMusic Googling around, it seems only the document owner has access to view the version history, so no one with public access can see what you can see. The document looks almost the same because I was able to mostly reconstruct the sheet order from memory and from an older screenshot.

If you can DM me the order of the usernames from the version before the fresh.lake1207 user added their entry, I can handle the reconciliation. Just make sure not to revert(!) when looking up the old version, because other changes have happened since then.

Can someone add 'Canceled' to the order status in the spreadsheet? My order was canceled, but he did not process a refund and created a credit slip on his site.
@uchlee It looks like someone had already added your information to the sheet when you made an earlier post about not getting your money back. Your entry is on line 23 of the sheet right now, and is updated with the information about Canceled order status and includes your note.

Whoever order from AliExpress, the screw is not same size as the original one.
I recommend you to take a washer. I build my own one from a beer can so the screw wont crack the unit.

Make sure you do not tight it to strong or you risk to crack it!! If you use a washer, you reduce the force on a larger area so it is more secure!

You are right! I used an existing one from an older OWC M2 SSD setup.

Did not found the right screw size to order. Will replace it as soon i find it. but currently cant find OEM screw or one with same size.

The Foam parts i did remove already as the screw is in place.

Refund from the credit card just came through. Wishing everyone who has still ordered with Gilles good luck and the best but considering we haven't yet heard from a single person here who has ordered with him in this batch that they've received something sure is telling.

Meanwhile Fangyuan has already shipped and I'm expecting to receive it either end of the week or beginning next week. Absolutely absurd.

💯 We are now halfway through that one week shipment time and no one here has reported a tracking number. It was probably yet another BS timeline. If he was continuously shipping through the week as claimed, then statistically we would see several members reporting progress by now. There are people in the tracking sheet with orders dating back to March and April and if those weren't the first people to be taken care of, there's no hope.

If you still have an order in with Polysoft, consider whether you really want to risk being the one left holding the bag if they go into insolvency. New orders are propping up cash flow as older orders pull out, but that's not going to last forever. Especially if the local authorities step in and shut down their ability to accept new orders.
