UPS - Hold for Pickup

Yes sorry, I am doing this from Canada
and no I can't sign up for my choice account quickly. It takes a few business days because they have to mail me the code.If it's at your local depot today you should be able to pick it up, I talked my local depot manager be told me apple didn't set a restriction.
I just got off the phone with UPS in Canada, I friggin' hate them. They won't hold the package until first delivery attempt has failed (because Apple has told them to supposedly?). I tried speaking with a supervisor, same story.
I really wish they would go through FedEx here, I cannot stand UPS.

now I have to wait for the stupid truck. But if I missed the signature or some crap, I might not even get it on Friday How do I get their phone number? When I look it up, for the 60 Midpark Rd in London, Ontario - it just gives me the 1-800 number instead of their direct number.
photo ID with different address but same name?
I just asked UPS chat support and they said my license MUST have the same address me to pick up my package from the Customer Center. Then I called phone support which said the address can be different as long as the last name is the same. Can someone clear this up or has somebody tried picking up a package with a different address on their ID?
Before my Watch shipped I changed the delivery address to my Dad's house so he could sign for it, but after seeing this thread I had the package rerouted to the UPS Customer Center. The package has my Dad's address but my license has a different address. My Dad and I have the same name (he is Jr., I am the III) so I'm going to try picking it up hoping just the names matching is good enough.

I only signed up earlier this week but they have to send me a code in the mail in order to activate it. I just logged in online and got a message saying "the primary My Choice member for this residence must log in to take this action".

I saw this with the iPhone 6 launch. A guy maybe 2 spots ahead of me creating a scene because he couldn't pick up his phone because the address didn't match. I don't ever know how it got resolved as I got my phone and left and he was still yammering on with the poor UPS lady.
I would not personally attempt for pickup unless my ID matched. Just my 2 cents.
What !? Don't you have an account with them "My choice" you could control everything online . I request a hold on my package to my nearest hub , and that's the final word and that's where my package will be tomorrow morning lol. That's odd that you are having problems with these guys .

I called on the iPhone 6+ because it said it was ready for pickup. I received an email a day early saying it was ready.
When I got down there to UPS hub they couldn't find the package. They finally asked me if it was the iPhone because those are all under lock and key and trucked across the street from the airport, escorted by police on release day.
OK, just paranoid. I'm in AZ and the watch is in CA but hasn't shipped just label generated. Wouldn't even know without my choice. Worried that signing up for pickup had messed up watch from shipping because hasn't yet. Thanks!
Guess they don't want me to come by in the morning. I changed my preference again to the local CC so lets see if it sticks. This was the note on my account.

Oddly, if I choose to change to pickup at my UPS customer service center in Helena Montana, The confirmation screen says the hours of operation are 5 PM to 6 PM. That would be worse than waiting for delivery. But that seems like a glitch because an earlier screen shows that they open at 11 AM. But, perhaps the hold for pick up option really does only work from 5 PM to 6 PM. So I'm not doing it.
The Boise (Nampa) CC shows hours from 3pm-6pm. I called a local store and they told me that any store in the valley will get it same day and that is verified once I made the request showing that I can get it at that store tomorrow. The local stores know their logistics very well.
Finally got a hold of the hub people instead of the call center morons at UPS. She was super helpful and nice and placed mine at will call for me. It'll be on my wrist by 8:45 AM tomorrow
