UPS - Hold for Pickup

If you are looking at a tracking number status page, in the bottom left there is a yellow icon for "Live Chat". You can also get there from the "Support" menu at the top. Here is a direct link:

I've heard mixed responses on wether or not Apple has put a restrictive "street date" on the watches. Let us know if you're successful
Depends. If you're switching it to the UPS store and their deliveries are out of the same hub as your home, then it's just a matter of it switching from one truck to another.
If that UPS store is out of a different hub, then you're going to get delayed. Hub A has to send it to Hub B, then they have to get it on a truck TO that UPS store. You're not going to see it Monday. If at all possible, get it held at the customer counter. It goes nowhere, the rearrangement from truck to counter is minimal and you don't get delayed.
I would highly doubt UPS is going to release a package today scheduled for tomorrow -- especially with Apple's normal launch day release restrictions.
However, I also am interested to see if anyone is successful.
I have already gone to the UPS website and asked that it be held for pickup in the morning.
Wish it was coming FedEx. They always deliver new products between 10am and Noon. UPS doesn't come till 7pm.
So, picking it up in the morning is a no-brainer.

This happened to me and it has me a little bit worried cuz I haven't seen any updates to my tracking info in a while. Hopefully it works out
Mind did the same thing and at the moment says I can pick it up in the morning. (looks like yours)
Just like you, I requested local pickup, it was canceled by the local center. I then requested again and so far it has stuck. Would not surprise me to see it cancel later and go out on the truck.
Since they make you sign for it anyway, and I would imagine a lot of us have "real" jobs, holding for pickup seems convenient to me. I'll just drive down at lunch and pick it up.
Lol ups definitely didn't design this tracking system for people as paranoid as us Apple fans
If you have MyChoice then check your shipment calendar. Mine shows tomorrow by end of day, even though I'm not getting shipping details yet.
Even if it does stop tracking, you are going to pick it up in the morning and it will be at the hub where it should.
How did you get a 830am pickup time? When I went through the process of selecting a customer center, the only times given were the general office hours. I canceled before I made the change.
I didn't pick a time that's when they open and the tractor trailers get there at like 4am so it'll be ready when they open. I did it last year with my 6+
Mine did, it took a few hours for the request to complete but once it did, it showed 4/24 for a local UPS store (not a hub either).

I called UPS and they told me they have a legal agreement with Apple that says they cannot hold for pickup until there has been 1 failed delivery attempt. I don't have My Choice so I can't do it online. I signed up this week but they have to mail me a code before it will activate.
