So my phone says its being shipped to me, and my sister just told me her phone is being shipped to her. I have my drivers license which has the address for both orders. Would I be able to pick up her phone then? She also has bank statements in her name and address if that would help. But because of her age, she doesn't have an ID that says both her name and address on it.
 
You just need an ID to verify the name of package and then the tracking number to get the package. Don’t need addresss to match. I live in Houston, TX but with my parents so I had it delivered all here in California.
 
Does anyone know how to cancel the hold for pickup option? I just realized that my ID doesnt have my parents address on it where I am currently, so I don't want to risk it. The name of the shipment is under my name though

I don't think you can cancel the hold for pickup until the actual phone is scanned by UPS.

Do you think Id have a problem picking it up with my ID? I had it shipped to my parents under my name, but my ID is for my place in MS. But I'm currently in Southern California
 
I called UPS yesterday because I was worried I wouldn't be able to pick up my phone at the CC since the name on the package is different than my name but it was the same address. UPS told me I'll be able to pick it up but to make sure, I can call them again on the 2nd when the package is scanned to see if there's any holding restrictions. My cousin took a photo of her ID just in case they need proof + I have tracking number and the T-Mobile billing statement for further proof lol I swear to God if they give me a hard time because the name isn't the same but everything else is..

I assume you know what a UPS store is, but a CC hub is an UPS distribution center where packages come in from flights/trucks and drivers pick up all of the packages they have for delivery.

I've heard of numerous examples of people being turned away if the contact name is not exactly the same. I guess it will depend on the clerk at the counter.

Well the name of the package is under my name, so would that make any difference?

The website specifically calls out the name needing to be the same as the Gov ID. Nothing about the address needing to match.
 
UPS literally says this on their website when you try to request for pick up so I have no idea why they would deny you from picking up phones. I'm half worried since there's some anecdotes on this thread saying they deny you lol

Just checked and mine has updated to show departure from China! Hopefully we get more specifics on tracking once they hit the States.

If you are picking up a package that is not under your name all you will need is your state issued ID and tracking number (email,text).

I’ve picked up from my hub for every pre-order since the iPhone 5 without any issue. The order is under my dads name, I have a different last name, have the same address, and have only had to show my ID and tracking number. I guess each state or city hub could be different, but I doubt that is the case. The horror stories could be because either the ID doesn’t have the address the same and/or they did not provide the tracking number.
 
My pickup date showed 11/06 right after I requested to make the changed to hold at the UPS CC. I checked the UPS mobile app and it shows that it'll be available for pickup on 11/03. I think everyone is just worried. It'll be ready for pickup as soon as the UPS CC opens on Friday.

Yes, when you first request a hold, it will always something that looks scary like exception...etc. But once it's scanned in, it'll be there on 11/3.

So how late do you think I can wait safely to request that they hold it? I'm hoping that once they scan it that the Monday date will disappear.
 
Anyone see the mychoice redirection you’ve made? I had it shipped to a ups store paid the money as it was in a different state but it shows nothing has changed will even let me choose to redirect again. I don’t want to do it twice Incase it won’t hit till it hits the States???
 
I went ahead and switched my packages to hold at the local CC, their hours are 10 am - 8 pm. Delivery still shows 11/3 by end of day, I’m guessing the information will update tomorrow?
