I placed my preorder at 5:04am PT (8:04am ET) on the preorder day for a 512 GB 17 Pro Cosmic Orange.

Showed as delivering Friday, 9/19 all week. Now the delivery estimate on the Apple Store app is September 30–October 7.

I am beyond disappointed. The online store experience was awful this year. Like, weirdly bad.

Last year was disappointing for me (16 Pro) not arriving on launch day.

I ordered another on Apple's website Friday night, and picked it up on Saturday which sort of made up for it.

Then the nightmare of mine getting lost at UPS from the moment it had an arrival scan and then a delivery commitment for Friday, never changed.
Apple said wait 3 business days and they will re-ship.
UPS said they opened an investigation.
5 days later, I got tired of waiting and filed a police report (felony property theft).
Next day, got a call from police dept and was told they found it.
UPS delivered the day after, but it had been opened and looked like the phone was going to get snuck out of the facility.
Police said that the UPS contractor was amassing many iPhones to send out of country where it can't get blacklisted.

@4sallypat mine might be on same path as yours. I wouldn't have thought to file a felony police report but I definitely will do that if it's not delivered on Monday.
Summary of my earlier posts in this thread:

1 - I did receive my S11 Watch and AirPods Pro 3 on Sep19. Driver claimed the iPhone was not on the truck. Status was clearly "Loaded on truck."
2 - Then, after he leaves, iPhone status changes to "Delivery Attempted". NOT! Why does UPS lie with shipping status?
New delivery date: "We will delivery next business day - Monday Sept 22"
3 - Gah! I spend 2 hours changing my Monday commitments, including some to Saturday Sep 20

4 - I wake up today, Saturday Sep 20, to see "Saturday delivery requested." I did not request Saturday delivery. Sooooo, I spent the past hour scrambling to move my Saturday commitment. Status "Loaded on vehicle"
5 - I just refreshed. Status is still "Loaded on vehicle", BUT now it says Monday delivery !!! What the heck !?!

What day should I believe?

Exactly what happened last year for me.
UPS said they would deliver on the Saturday, but never happened - ruined my plans for both days...

Based on this year's people reporting that their phones were stolen (empty boxes) I would not doubt it is being staged to disappear out of the country.

iPhones that are taken to certain other countries do not share the IMEI block that Apple would place on domestic phones. A reason why they are stolen.

Some are shipped separately, some came with the phone. My pre-order included a message that the kit would be mailed to me, either with the iPhone or as a separate shipment. Once my order was shipped, the message noted that the kit was included with the iPhone.

This is because the last confirmed status in the UPS system is "loaded on truck". The next step is delivered or "Delivery Attempted". For a regular missed delivery, the system will automatically reschedule for next business day.

You did not but Apple has that as a standing request for missed deliveries on launch day. It happens every year.

Again that is the last known scan. Not much for you to do while UPS tries to get their Sh** together and find your box or confirm its loss. Hold off on the Police report until Tuesday. Saturday staffing at some UPS centers is quite light on the weekend.

^^^ this - wait till Tuesday or Wednesday to file a police report.

That will give Apple enough time to contact the shipper (3 days).

I waited till Wednesday after nothing changed and filed the police report.

Police detective assigned visited the UPS center and they magically produced it (box was open and phone was already opened as if the employee was taking it home).

Mine came with the new phone, which I am happy with, and I’ve already reset the old phone to factory settings, put it in the FedEx return slot at the local airport, and it’s already went from Texas to the FedEx hub in Memphis, and there will be delivered in California on Monday
 
It's from an off-brand seller on Amazon: ZZDZZ. Silicon bands not too expensive, but the color was great to match the orange iPhone (although I wish a little more orange would seep into the black more). The magnetic clasp holds really well.
Thanks! I ordered the Orange/Gray one. It appears that the orange is all the way around the band and the gray is inside.

Nice. Yeah, I was hoping for an Orange / Blue version because that's what I'm using as my color combo for my Phone/Case so I may keep looking. I'm trying to synchronize! LOL. Truthfully, I probably way overspend on accessorizing more than the actual phone/watch itself! But hey...its brings me "joy" :)
 
I purchased Apple Care for my Air and Watch 11 with my order, but they have not activated on either. What should i do?

Edit to add, I also order the Burkley Leather Wallet Case - iPhone Air, it will not work with MagSafe charging. They say it should so they’ve sent a return label to test it. So I’m caseless until resolved. 😫

AppleCare generally activates automatically once your devices are registered; however, it may take a little while for the update to be reflected in the system. Please double-check by going to Settings > General > About on each device — you should see AppleCare coverage listed there.
If it’s still not showing, I recommend contacting Apple Support directly so they can verify the coverage and activate it for your devices.

Does anyone have experience getting a package from ups if you’ve missed delivery? Missed it twice - yesterday I was at work and couldn’t be home for the whole delivery period. Today they came four hours before the stated delivery period and I was gone. Monday I will be at work again. Pick up at a ups store maybe? All the options from ups seem to be unavailable to me.

After the 3rd attempt, UPS will leave a notice that it is going to return to sender.

Scan the barcode on the info ticket and see if UPS Access point pickup can be arranged.

I know Apple put a restriction on having it delivered to an UPS Access point / UPS Store but after the 3rd attempt, UPS may allow.

Yes, I am in same group, still says processing. My local store has availability for instore pick up. I placed apple.com order with partial amount as Gift cards. So, I cannot even cancel onine order and to place instore order. Stuck with sep 24-29.

Also, on iPhone>Settings, directly below your Apple Account (formerly Apple ID lol) there is an Add AppleCare+ Coverage section you can tap.
