Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

If you're in Montana you're 400 miles from anything, never mind the Apple Store 😛

Anyway I ordered on 10/18 so I assume mine should be processed soon then
 
For what it's worth -

I just checked my status and my status check from this page (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/orderstatus/OrderStatusForm) has changed to this:

and the one from this page (https://preorder.verizonwireless.com/iconic/iconic/screens/IconicSearchInit.do)

has changed to this:

not really sure what this means, ordered a 16GB White 4S at about 10:30 AM Eastern on 10/17.

Will update as I know more.

edit for details: Ordered as an upgrade via the verizon wireless website

BAM! My order status just changed. I still enter the preorder conf #, but instead of showing "preorder", it now lists the Order # and Tracking, but courier is still blank and no tracking # yet.

I'm hoping they ship it out today!!

Ordinarily I prefer being 400 miles away from anything ... but when it comes to Apple stores, I make an exception. 🙂
 
My pre-order page now shows something too. (Previously this didn't show anything). It also gave me the option to update my credit/debit card details which I've done, because I actually wasn't sure which card I used. Got to switch it to my other card (or it may not have changed, I forget). Yay!

Here's hoping.. It says 'ship date' on 28th though; I was hoping I would have had it in my hands on 28th because I'll be out on Monday morning. Meh.

My preorder screen has been updated, too. I don't know whether it's an encouraging sign, though, or just an upgrade to their processing software ...
 
I should add that I no longer have the option to Cancel or Modify Payment.. if this works in a similar fashion to Amazon (I welcome our new Bezos overlord) that means this thing is ready to rock.

I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but that's what mine showed for about 5 days until a couple of hours ago, when it changed to what I posted above.
 
That's what I thought. Mine's been in limbo since 10/18. Hopefully by later today or tomorrow it will move to the next stage. Ideally it'll get shipped tomorrow so I can play with it on Friday 🙂
 
Just saw the red beacon on my blackberry flash (i kinda will miss the notification light when I get an iPhone) and got super pumped that it was something shipment related

no.. just Dominos asking if I'd tried their new artisan pizzas yet.

Mine still says the 28th too for expected ship date. I'm trying to stay positive though, hoping they'll ship it out today (am I being naive?)

So I just got an email from VZW to say my "Order is on hold".

"Dear Valued Customer,
Your order is scheduled to be processed. Average processing time is 3 days. You will receive a confirmation email when processing is complete and your device has shipped.
Thank You,
Verizon Wireless"

When I put in my pre-order check, it is also updated and says "Your payment is not yet taken" and shows me 11/4!

Interesting. Now the tracking has changed; it gives me an IP address with a Courier of "MD2".

Dude that's hella weak. I checked, and they charged my Credit Card too.
They'd better ship it out today! I think the first question I'm going to ask Siri, is what took it so long to ship?? 😀 LOL
 
I did update my Payment Info on the pre-order page today (to ensure I was billing the right card) but I can't imagine that would have pushed me back? It should have just modified a different table.

It's absolute BS to change my date like that. That said, one page says 11/4, and the other gives me a courier that doesn't exist and tells me 10/28. Typical mis-communication. This is why I hate companies like VZW; they are good at allowing me to make phone calls.. terrible at the back end.

With these guys, who knows. It seems the whole iphone ordering system (across all the carriers) is chaos, since the demand is ridiculously high.

Was yours a personal order or a business order?
 
Business. I do have a fake tracking # now though, with a fake courier. So perhaps it's in the process of being sent to FedEx/UPS

Have you tried tracking it on FedEx, to see if the # works? Maybe they just got the courier name wrong.
I know VZW exclusively uses fedex (at least that's been my experience).

Hmm that's weird. Maybe it's some sort of internal tracking #. Maybe they lost your iphone in the warehouse somewhere? LOL sorry, just trying to lighten the mood a little 😛

Did they charge your CC ?
 
Not yet. The pre-order page now says 11/4, but the other one (the one where you choose phone, internet etc. on how you ordered) says 10/28 and gives me this IP tracking #. I'm guessing it's in the process of being submitted to FedEx.

No card payment yet.

Hmm, really weird. They charged my card, so I'm hoping it's in the packaging stage - ready to slap a fedex label on there.
I'll keep everyone posted as soon as I get a tracking #
