Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

how exactly do you know I know that i'm in pre-order status?
all it shows for me when I plug in my info is a blank screen that just says order number, then the order number. And in the slot next to tracking number there is nothing.

It sounds like your order is already processed, and you're no longer in Pre-order status. I've heard once they show a blank tracking #, they're ready to ship it out. It may go out today, congrats!!
Can I ask what date you ordered your phone, which model / color, and was it online or phone order?

Can someone clarify the process?

I've placed my order and received and order confirmation email with a pre-order number. Should I be expecting another email at any point, or do I need to continually check the status using the pre-order number?

You need to enter the "preorder confirmation number" into the form, instead of the order number. Give that a try ...

weird but when I try that it says "We are experiencing technical difficulties, please check back later" but when I put in the order number it actually takes me to a loaded page, it just doesnt say my tracking number

I am experiencing the same issue. Did you order at a retail store or online? I ordered my phones on October 18th at a retail store and the only information that comes up as of now after entering my information (preorder confirmation wont work) is my order number with a blank tracking number. I'm still hoping the phones will ship on October 28th like the original e-mail said.

You guys are golden. That means your phone is about to ship, they're just pending pickup by FedEx, at which point it will get a tracking #. You're not longer in "pre-order" status, you'll probably get your phone by tomorrow or the day after.
Wish mine would make some progress.....still in the pre-order stage

I'm not so sure about that. I'm in exactly the same status as the OP - Preorder shows "technical difficulties" and order # gives me a blank screen (with the order # but no comments/details).

But.. it's been like this for 5 days...

You were right! They sent out an email a bit earlier tonight saying that "Your order has been completed and is in the process of being shipped to you" so hopefully tomorrow they give me more details on when it will be the estimated arrival time, or if I'm really lucky might just get it tomorrow. What are the chances of that happening? How long after that email is the norm till you receive your phone?

To answer your questions, I placed the order on 10/16,@ the Verizon store, for 4 black iPhones 4s 16GB.

Big Red call center aren't any help - they act clueless on the 4S. Ordered on 10/18.

It just bugs me massively that you order something.. and then silence. I'd like to see *something* in regards to what's going on.

I'm not getting my hopes up until the phone is in my hands! But I'll deffenitly
keep y'all up to date so we can figure out what the process is for Verizon.

I agree man, but yea my shipping date was on the 28

I called big red again this morning; still nothing. They can bring the order up, but tell me absolutely nothing about it.

I ordered in VZW store on 10/17. Just received shipment email. Tracking shows delivery by 3pm tomorrow . 16GB Black

From the responses, it looks like they're shipping out orders from 10/17 and 10/18.

I ordered mine on 10/19 with an estimate ship date of 10/28. I bet I'll get an "order processed" email in the next day or so too. Hopefully they haven't run out of this weeks inventory batch

Not for me, I ordered on 10/15 and have a ship date of 10/28. I am still in the processing phase, I use my preorder number and get that "we received your order and are processing it" message on the Verizon check status page.

I ordered the iPhone 4s black 64gb on the Verizonwireless website. I haven't been even been charged yet for it. At this point I'm a bit nervous about it even getting shipped out on 10/28, but it is still early in the week. I'll save my panic for Friday morning.
