Yeah I'll let you guys know what happens tomorrow.. I don't think I've ever received a package from FedEx at this address so I have no idea when it will arrive. I get UPS shipments pretty much daily and they're very predictable and consistent.

Also if there is any info on my invoice that might be helpful regarding processing date/whatever else I'll post that too.
 
I'm kinda losing hope. Because of VZWs mistake, they are failing to agree to what they originally told me, and have been up until last minute - 10/28. Perhaps tomorrow it may change, but something tells me that I'm now bumped back in the queue for another 7 days. Upset about it, I will live but I'm just annoyed at the principal of it, ya know?

I still show an IP tracking # and a ship date of 10/28 if I search by order number, but when I search by preorder # I get a note that payment isn't made and 11/4. This is despite now that it is set to just bill directly to the account. *sigh* This really is such an absolute organizational mess..this demand should in no way be surprising. Ill also note that the option to cancel/modify is also gone for me.

I've given up trying to second-guess them. That Nyquil idea is sounding better and better ...

Yah seriously. Next time I'm just gonna buy it at some random hole-in-the-wall verizon store that doesn't have a line.

It's not so much the waiting that's the problem for me - it's the lack of information.

IMO, if there was a billing issue, why didn't VZW contact me? Rather, they waited on *me* to attempt to contact them. Instead, they sent me a meaningless "Order On Hold" email, with no information.

I had billed it to my personal card, but they screwed up and put the company name against my personal card #, failing the request. And, rather than contacting me to secure my place in line, just play innocence claiming that I'm now pushed back in the queue for 11/4. It's a *complete* disrespect. I emailed the rep I've been dealing with, asking if I can get some kind of compensation.

Not only that, they only offered me 2 options. Cancel the order, or bill it to the account. I've chosen to bill it to the account (which still confuses me as to why it says "payment has not been made"), but this causes me an inconvenience of having to reimburse the company.

It's just a mess. I'm tired of it already. Yes, it's a phone, but I'm tired of unorganized, inaccurate, emotionless companies.

P.S Here is what the "Order Status" shows. Still showing 10/28, yet the other thing now showing 11/4. The inconstancies are ridiculous

Well, at 2:26am this morning, they sent me a fedex tracking #. Apparently the anticipated "ship" date is today, and I should receive it by tomorrow at 3pm.

But it hasn't been picked up by fedex yet....all the did was create the label. I'll feel better once it's in fedex's hands.

Thanks :) So have they charged your credit card yet? I bet they'll ship it out today. It looks like they started working at 2am today just to get a head start on the day's shipments.

Did they send you an email saying your phone shipped yet? My card was charged yesterday but still no tracking # or any real update from Verizon.

Yes, I got the email saying it was "shipped" this AM. But they charged my card yesterday early afternoon (1-2 pm I think?). So it seems their process is slow or backlogged right now. Usually they're supposed to ship it the same day they charge your card.

If they charged you card yesterday, I bet you'll get a tracking # today. Fedex cutoff is like 5pm (I bet even later for Verizon).

Just to clarify, mine hasn't actually shipped yet. I got a tracking # , and it will go out today for tomorrow delivery (hopefully)

AFAIK, not yet ... though it takes my card's issuer a day or two to post charges on its website.

If I don't get a shipping notice today, though, I'm going to be pissed at VZW, since I placed my order the day before you did! :)

Haha, I don't blame you. I'd be pissed at me too! I have a feeling the 10/18-10/19 orders are all going out in one batch today, and they're randomly printing labels. I bet the warehouse guys are on a coffee and nude magazine break right now.

Seriously, though, if I don't get a shopping notice today I'm going to suspect something is wrong with my order ... because I assume they're routinely shipping web orders in the order received.

Just got off the phone with FedEx again to confirm this and again they were very helpful and told me I'd have the package this afternoon.


I guess FedEx is careful with its DC clientele.. they don't want us boycotting Redskins games on their behalf! (not that we don't have dozens of other reasons to...)

That sucks. Amazing that you had morning delivery to begin with...mine is slated for afternoon delivery.
I checked my shipping email confirmation, and it doesn't have my suite # listed (even though I KNOW I typed it in for the online order).
It's being shipped to work, and I think the fedex guy knows our company name, so I'm hopeful it will be okay....
 
I just assumed it would be morning/early afternoon delivery. It still says delivery by 3 PM and I hope it stays that way because I would like to get out of the house at some point. No doorman.. the perils of semi-urban duplex living

VZW made a mistake and I believe bumped me to 11/4. I'm pissed at them for it; made a complaint.
 
MD - you should push for a credit, since they ********* up pretty bad.
That's like a 2 week delay, that's insane!

Mjn - Let us know when you unbox that puppy! I shall live vicariously today.....until I get mine tomorrow :D

Yah, I thought that was strange. The other CSR from yesterday was wrong. They specifically don't allow billing of the IPHONE to your account, they want to get paid upfront. They'll bill for any other phone though, just not the iphone.
I agree, they keep screwing you over and over with wrong info.

I keep forgetting you have a business acct. Maybe this is a perk for biz accts.
But it doesn't sound like Verizon knows......each CSR is telling you something different. You need to escalate to a manager, and explain everything to them
 
So I called again (they must hate me) to ask what's going on. It turns out it *is* billed to the account; he said that prohibition is only for consumer accounts. He also checked the status of the order and it says Paid, pending shipment. So that's 2x CSR's that have told me that. I suppose there's a consistency there. He sees 10/28 too. So maybe it'll ship out today? :eek:
 
i am pacing around my apartment like a crazy person and then staring creepily out my blinds like a sex offender looking for a fedex truck


edit: i should add that i live next to an elementary school which is a small detail i forgot.. i should probably trust myself that i'll hear a knock at the door.
