Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

So based on what I've been reading, is Verizon basically doing a shipment of iPhones a week right now, with delivery typically on Fridays? I ask because I've got a preorder currently scheduled to ship on the 28th, and I'm wondering if there's a fair chance the phone will actually arrive here that day. I've got a business trip tentatively set to start the following Monday, but I don't want to leave town without my new iPhone!
Mine were scheduled to ship he 28th as well and they shipped this past Friday.
I preordered this week but then just now I saw my black 64GB pop up at my local Apple store. Reserved it. Now I'm canceling my preorder.
Apple stores do not honor new every 2 and their system makes you choose an existing plan, rather than just renewing your current plan... I assume you could call Verizon right after activating to revert to your old plan. Regardless, it ain't a flawless process.
I was able to renew my old plan at the Apple store. When choosing the data plan, i had to scroll all the way to the bottom to see the unlimited plan that i currently have. Almost missed it and thought i had to get the 2gb limit plan
Actually I never had a plan with Verizon. I'm switching from AT&T to Verizon.
So I'll be setting up a new plan/line at the Apple Store.
It seems like a lot of people are still awaiting delivery from pre-orders before the 14th.
I ordered mine on 10/19, with an expected ship date of 10/28 (this friday). It's still in pre-order status, with no additional info.
I'm hoping to get it sooner....the wait is frustrating!!
Anyone else order on 10/19? Receive any tracking info yet?

I pre-ordered on 10/20 over the phone. 2 white 16G 4S's. Estimated ship is 11/4 for me. I love how the Apple stores are getting the majority of stock. Sucks for me since they won't honor NE2 -- so it would cost me an additional $100 for the 2 phones to get them now vs waiting a few weeks.
I called VZW last week, and they told me the white 16gb's were taking longer. Glad I avoided that
I hate the wait. I hope it gets here already.....
I placed my online order on the 18th, and I'm still in pre-order status, as well.

No idea ... it seems like many of the phones have actually been getting delivered on what was the estimated ship date, but I imagine we won't know for sure until Wednesday or Thursday. :/Cool. Yah I've read that too, about being delivered on the ship date. I guess we can be hopeful too, right?

I ordered on the phone on 10/18 and I was emailed a pre-order confirmation, order # and a 'ship by' of 10/28. However, as of today my card hasn't even been charged.
In addition, when I try the online status check, it just returns a blank page with the order # that I just typed in.. so absolutely no info. No date, no anything. The only date I can see was from my original email.
Is there another link I should be using?

It's the same link. But you can't use the order #. You need to use the really long #, called the "preorder confirmation #" that came in the email.
Although my ship date hasn't changed yet.
It's a phone order, so when I do that and enter my confirmation I just get "technical difficulties" (I've had this days ago too). And so, I tried the order # and that's all that gives me something at least.

Hmm. Even for a phone order, didn't you get a confirmation email after you placed the order?
What numbers did the email have? Mine has a Preorder Confirmation, Order #, and Order Location.
The preorder confirmation is the one that works for me.
I just get "We are experiencing technical difficulties, try later". I've had that for days. I will note I have a business account so theoretically there isn't a last name, but I've tried entering my name and what 'could' be assumed as the last name for the business (as it has a space)
Oh okay, maybe that's why. I'm not sure how the business accounts work.
Well chances are you'll get your phone around the same time as me and Montanan (10/28).

how exactly do you know I know that i'm in pre-order status?
all it shows for me when I plug in my info is a blank screen that just says order number, then the order number. And in the slot next to tracking number there is nothing.
You need to enter the "preorder confirmation number" into the form, instead of the order number. Give that a try ...
