Ship Date Changed
Not to worry everyone, but I ordered at 3:00 a.m. on Friday 10/7 and they just changed my ship date to 10/21. Card not charged. I called a verizon representative and they said because of demand they couldn't fulfill all the orders and there is nothing they can do about it.
This sucks.

when i ordered my 16gb on friday at 1pm, the ship date said 10/14 and then changed a few hours later to the 21st. I went to my verizon store and they said if i cancelled my order and got the 32gb version it would arrive on Friday. So i cancelled the order and ordered the 32. This was at 8pm on the 7th. On saturday morning the date changed to the 21st and then back to the 14th within an hour. It still says the 14th when I check.
If i would have stuck to my original order, this would not be an issue of getting it on the 14th. Verizon reps are clueless.
Same here. Hopefully just another system glitch. They told me the same thing last Saturday, but then Sunday morning it was back to October 14. Now I am back to October 21. And I ordered on October 7th at 4am (16GB black).
Mine is still saying 10/14/11, though my card has not yet been charged and it still says "Your pre-order will deliver by 10/14/2011". Ordered Black 32GB.
Nevermind, that went away as fast as I said it...stuck on Your order has been sent for processing.
Charges pending, sites says will deliver by 10/14. I placed my order 30 minutes after pre-orders began through Verizon for a 64GB/White. 
Yes, Verizon only charges when they are about to ship so expect it to ship in 24-48 hours.
my order is still stuck on "We received your order and it is in process. "
And i cant check if my credit has been charged yet unless i call the bank directly.

I ordered 5 iPhones(16 GBs of various colors) at 12:30am pacific on Friday the 7th through the Verizon website and just had my order status changed to indicate that the phones are out for shipping and that the status will be updated with tracking numbers soon.
Edit: Oh and it says "Your Order Will Deliver by 10/14/11." Though the Courier and Tracking number fields remain blank.

Don't worry yet. Mine just changed a few hours ago...they have a lot of orders to get through. Until it is cancelled, your order date changes or they put a hold and tell you to contact them....you should be fine.

I am super upset with Verizon and the service I have received. I preordered my White 32GB 4S ONLY because the 32 was showing 14th delivery and the 16 GB was pushed out until the 21. I ordered and got a confirmation email for the order saying it would be DELIVERED on 10/14/11. So, after days of not even being able to look at the order status I see that it is saying it has an expected ship date of 10/21/11. How can this be? If I am told a phone is going to be on my door step by the 14th how can I just be hossed around by Verizon into me having to wait another week?
I am very disappointed with Verizon. I got my confirm email at exactly October 07, 2011 11:56:05 PM. When I call Verizon, the CSR tells me it was the eighth! I have talked to about 12 CSR's trying to sort this out and they all have a different story. Now they are telling me no phone ships till the 21st. Obvisouly that is not true. So how do I get the truth here? Is my phone gonna be here on the 14th or what?

my family ordered 3 phones on friday at about 4:30 central time. The ship date is still 10/14/11 too.
