I am super upset with Verizon and the service I have received. I preordered my White 32GB 4S ONLY because the 32 was showing 14th delivery and the 16 GB was pushed out until the 21. I ordered and got a confirmation email for the order saying it would be DELIVERED on 10/14/11. So, after days of not even being able to look at the order status I see that it is saying it has an expected ship date of 10/21/11. How can this be? If I am told a phone is going to be on my door step by the 14th how can I just be hossed around by Verizon into me having to wait another week?

I am very disappointed with Verizon. I got my confirm email at exactly October 07, 2011 11:56:05 PM. When I call Verizon, the CSR tells me it was the eighth! I have talked to about 12 CSR's trying to sort this out and they all have a different story. Now they are telling me no phone ships till the 21st. Obvisouly that is not true. So how do I get the truth here? Is my phone gonna be here on the 14th or what?

call the internet orders department.... they are a lot more helpful. (1866-338-7390) i was getting a ton of different stories (my order was pushed back) but when I finally got the number out of the VZW rep and called them, it worked out.... they're the only ones with information and the know-how to do it.

I got an email saying my order was on hold because of credit card problems,so i called and changed the card and they charged it,i asked if i would still get it on the 14th since i ordered as soon as they started taking preorders 2 am central on the 7th,she said yes i would that my place in line is held.i got an email saying my order is in process and getting ready for shipping,but when i go to the order status page it says we have your order and it is in process,no payment taken expected ship date 10/21 WTF!!!
i guess alot of credit cards are having fraud alerts,i hope i do get this on the 14th,anyone else have any similar problems?

The last answer I got about no one getting a phone till the 14th came from the supervisor of the Internet dept..

This member was well before the 10am 10/8 cutoff and has a 10/21 ship date/
 
So my credit card for some reason won't go through and my order was put on hold. I switched credit cards and the lady said it went through. Now my order says it won't be shipped until the 21st. Do you think this is just because it was on hold and it will go back to the 14th or no? I ordered 32gb about 10 minutes after preorders began.
 
so just realized that my credit card is pending...does not list it, but with basic math figured out the difference was from my iphone...woohoo!

EDIT: Called the 866 number and gave them a new CC #. She said that it'll ship tomorrow and I'll get it Friday.

Anyone having difficulty getting to the "Check Your Order Status Page?" I am getting:

Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Additionally, a 302 Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Does anyone know if Verizon ships Fedex Overnight - priority, first class or standard? This determines the time of delivery according to the guy I asked at Fedex.

Priority: 8 a.m.
First Class: Between 10:30 a.m. - Noonish
Standard: Between noon-4 p.m.

My current status as of earlier this afternoon. I ordered from the Verizon website at 2:33 am CST last Fri morning.

I sure hope so, this happened to me in the verizon store when I got my last phone. I don't know why my card won't get accepted there
 
Just checked mine and it shows the 3 phones i ordered (2 16gb 1 32gb) listed on the Verizon order status page with my IP address and the following 3 lines, 1 set for each phone:
Courier : MD2
Status: Your pre-order will deliver by 10/14/2011
Ship Date: 10/07/2011

Not sure what "MD2" is unless it is an internal code for FedEx or UPS.
 
Ok, so i found more evidence of this being the correct way of checking for fed ex:

Not quite sure if anyone's made a guide on how to do this yet. I figured I'd give it a shot, working for FedEx and all.

This method, AFAIK, is best used if you called telesales to order your phone. I haven't been able to verify it for orders placed online. Then again, you can just go to Verizon's website for tracking information, right?



1. After receiving an e-mail confirmation from Verizon about your order, note these two numbers:

Location
Order

2. Go to www.fedex.com/us/ and place your mouse cursor over 'Track', which is under 'Package/Envelope' and to the right of 'Ship' toward the top of the page. 5 options should pop up, but the one that you want is 'Track by Reference'. (Or you can just click here and go straight to the track by reference page )

3. Under 'Enter reference information' you'll see Account number, Reference, Ship date, Destination country, and Destination postal code. You can leave the 'Account number' field blank. Under 'Reference', type in the Location number you noted earlier, place an underscore '(_)' after that number, then type up the order number right after it. It should all be grouped together, with no spaces. (Example: 1530701_837590287).

You can then leave the 'ship date' alone as it should be displaying today's date and will look for anything shipped +/- 15 days from that day.

'Destination country' is self-explanatory and 'Destination postal code' will be where you are having the package shipped to. Not the bill-to ZIP code.

4. Click 'Track' and you should be set!

So if by doing this you dont see anything, sounds like the phones arent ready to ship just yet.

Me as well.

Being told the 'ships out on the 14th' by VZW online CSM's (who know nothing), while my account doesn't even show that an order is pending. Haven't gone so far to check my CC to see if it charged yet.

::edit to add::
CC has been charged today with what looks to be the full 'charge' amount for my device. Something should be showing up email wise in the not too distant future.
