I finished my Verizon Preorder (16g white, 16g black) at 3:04 on the on sale date. The initial e-mail I received says shipped to arrive on 10/14, but when I go to track my package it says shipping on 10/14. I called, they explained they overnight it on 10/14, and i'll receive it on Monday, 10/17. So glad I woke up at 3am for a preorder.... :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Stop it with this. It has been discussed over and over and over again. You will get it Friday for the love of God.

No email update since this afternoon. Called VZW and agent said she saw that charge was applied today at 12:31pm and that my phone will be delivered no later than Friday.

This is crap. Just got an email from Verizon stating my order is on hold for the next 3 days and will then be processed to ship. I stayed up to pre-order it on the release night and now I'm being screwed over..what's the point of pre-ordering something if you don't get it on the freaking release date? Thanks Verizon :mad: Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you tried calling Verizon? I received the same email, but my card was also charged for my phone this afternoon. Based on previous comments by people with the same issue, they have said that by contacting Verizon they have found that either the card needed to be updated or that it had already been charged and in both cases the delivery date should still be the 14th. I was worried when I got the email this afternoon, but other posters have reassured me that there shouldn't be an issue. I'm going to be waiting to see if I receive any kind of confirmation or tracking info tomorrow, and if not, then I plan on calling to see what is going on, but for tonight, I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

You need to call them,i got an email because my cc didn't go through so i called and changed cards and they processed the charge,the rep assured me my place in line would be held and i would get it on the 14th since i ordered as soon as they started taking preorders at 2am central time,i got an email after that stating my order was completed and preparing to ship,though on the order status page it says order received,processing,payment not yet taken,exp ship date 10/21,but since i was told i would get it and i have been charged,i assume that info is not accurate,the rep said everyone who ordered early would receive by the 14th,so i would just call them to be sure what the email was about.
 
just got the email that says that my phone has shipped. it is currently in Hong Kong and plans to deliver BY Oct. 14
 
I can't believe how everyone is bitching when it's not even the 14th yet. Gees, if Friday comes and goes with no iphone, bitch then. But until then..STOP!:eek:
 
Still no email from Verizon, but my card was charged today. I also can't check my preorder status because the website won't load for me. Gives me a "site is unavailable" error.

Not too worried, though. Charged card should be a good indication it'll be here Friday.

I ordered last friday morning 8AM CST from Verizon's web site. I checked my credit card and see nothing pending or charged. Called the internet orders 800 # for Verizon and asked if she saw any problems with my order. There was none however they just have not yet gotten to my order (for charges..) and that I should get a delivery shipping e-mail in the near future.

I just spoke with a VSW internet sales order rep (from the above-mentioned phone number - 1866-338-7390) to inquire about my order that was placed at 11pm on 10/7, and they said the order was being SHIPPED on 10/14 via two-day shipping, however, he said due to a high volume of calls, verizon is upgrading all the orders to free overnight shipping. He said based on the last iPhone release, because they were shipped out PRIOR to the release date, FedEx is not authorized to ship the iPhones prior to their 10/14 release date. In other words, they will NOT be delivered 10/14, but rather shipped 10/14.

ugh... believe me, i hope he is wrong.

I am still the same... no shipping info yet and my card hasn't been charged. I am missing some cash from my available credit, so I am hoping that the charge is in the works. :D
 
My credit card was charged this afternoon. Ordered the 32gb white version. I ordered it on 10/7 at around 9 am. Every time I try and check order status (yes using pre-order number) I get an error.

I emailed verizon and I got an email back stating:

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless regarding your Internet pre-order WFM XXXX228004940000 requesting your pre-order expected delivery date. Your order has been received and is in line for processing. You will receive an email advising the Federal Express tracking number. According to our records, the expected delivery date is October 14, 2011. To track your package, please visit www.FEDEX.com. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

For any additional questions regarding your order, please reply to this email or call 866-338-7390 Monday-Friday 8am-9pm or Saturday 8am-5pm EST.
