Verizon 4S Preorder Status Thread

Got my confirmation email. Looks like UPS hasn't picked it up yet. Black 32 GB ordered at 8:30 AM PST on 10/7
 
Just found my order on UPS website, it still hasn't updated on the VZW website nor have I gotten an email. I used the location # underscore order # as reference. If you are trying this, you need 000's before the order #, in total the zeros and order number have to be 9 digits long. So if you're order number is 9999, you type "Location#_000009999"

CC Problems But Just Got Shipment Notification

I had my order placed on hold because my CC didn't go through. Had them run it again and it worked. Online it has been saying I'd get it on the 21. However, I just got a shipment notification that it will be here on the 14th! Everyone in this situation should still have hope for the 14th!

Also, if you have any problems, call 866-338-7390, it is a different department than normal customer support and they know and can help a lot more.
 
Ok, I'm a bit confused, I see everyone saying you can find your tracking info for your phone but entering the location number than you order number and some other numbers added on. How do I find my location number? I'm in Cincinnati, OH. Thanks.

Can't get it to work - am I doing something wrong? I'm entering:

D771901_00000XXXX

I also tried it without the "D".

Got tracking # email from verizon this morning.

Also no credit card charge, pending or otherwise. I'm sure it's fine, just interesting.

I have the same location number and it doesn't work for me either and I even have tracking numbers (that don't work).
 
Sounds like you're doing it right. You are entering that under tracking by references right? And yes, for mine at least it kept the letter prefix on my location number.
 
just used the location_ordernumber for my 16GB Black at 2:10 AM CST and got a hit. 2 day air UPS to Auburn, AL. I'm not getting a hit for the 32GB Black that was ordered at 11:30 AM CST. This was the same order that was put on hold until I called Verizon yesterday and gave them another card, and they said it should still be here Friday. We'll see.. maybe an overnight ship possibly?

The location number is located in your confirmation email at the top under "Order Summary" and listed as "Order Location"
 
tried the fedex shipping number thing. worked with my order :D
it was picked up in ontario, ca about 30 miles from los angeles, ca where i live. i believe verizon has a warehouse out there.

haha just received verizon's tracking notification email as i was typing this ;)

when did you call yesterday? I'm in the same boat, called at 4:45 CST yesterday and they told me it should still arrive Friday. Look at my post a couple of minutes ago for the details. Sound like yours?

Okay, so I just tracked by reference with UPS and I have a tracking number and shipping label, although nothing else has been updated. The label was created today. It's marked for 2-Day Air.
 
I ordered at around 2:05AM CST.. Received the charge, but no shipping confirmation yet :( and I have tried the methods on FedEx & UPS..

This worked for me except it was fedex......white 16 GB....phones been picked up in memphis...

White 64gb ordered at 8am 10/7 got shipping notification and tracking number this morning. I'm in california
 
Well, I tried the UPS trick and it worked. My label was created today, however it has not begun moving through the UPS network yet. I'm excited, it says that it is shipping by 2-day air, aka I'll see it on Friday I hope
 
I just got my tracking numbers. My phones were picked up by Fedex in Ontario, CA today...that is literally 30 minutes from my house...
 
Ordered White 16gb @ 9am on Friday. Still no credit card charge, and the tracking by reference didn't work on UPS or FedEx. Think it's time to start worrying?
 
The UPS order/location number trick worked for me. My phone is hanging out in Memphis.

Still haven't been charged, but I expect that to change by the end of the day.

The track by reference worked for me as well! Mine is shipping Fedex from Ontario, CA to Chicago, IL. It says it's in transit so hopefully it's on a plane somewhere.

Interestingly enough, my Verizon status page is still showing that my order is processing, and has an estimated ship date of 10/21. Clearly Verizon's tracking system is not set up as well as it should be, since it doesn't seem to be aware that my phone has shipped. So for anyone else freaking out about the Verizon page, it will probably be okay, so stop freaking out (easier said than done, considering I had been calling/emailing Verizon reps, constantly refreshing, and swearing until I got the tracking number to work).

don't worry...it seems like everything is completely random...its still early in the day and the week..you'll get yours friday.
