I ordered through Verizon because it was the only way to order two phones on a family plan. Apple told me I would have to order in person to do so. Would have preferred ordering from Apple directly as I trust their shipping info more. Oh well.
 
I got mine through verizon because it was the only way I could keep my unlimited data plan at the time. Apple didn't give me the option to stay on my current data plan, and I got an extra $50 discount for my last new every 2.
 
I haven't got a tracking number yet.... has anyone that ordered from the Verizon site gotten one yet?
 
When asked VZWSupport via twitter about my shipping delay this is all I got...see attached.

Yeah, that's the reason everyone's ship date says 10/14 or 10/21. All that means is that if they don't for some reason ship before that date, you can't say they were wrong.
 
Ordered mine around ten Friday night. Still says processing on apple's page.
 
A verizon rep whom I deal with all the time and has always been spot on said that, Apple is direct shipping their orders and sprint is doing the same. ATT and Verizon ship to their warehouses from China and then ship to customers from their warehouses. More than likely, those that ordered on the 7th, their orders get shipped out on late Wednesday/Thursday for overnight delivery on Friday the 14th.

Thats why verizon users, havent seen their cards charged yet and likely wont until late wednesday/Thursday.
 
I really hope the card gets charged soon. I hate seeing that money in my bank account, mocking me.

My whole theory on the "14th Ship Date" is that they're coming overnight and we won't have any tracking updates until late Thursday, Early Friday, maybe nothing until "Out for Delivery" on Friday.

Here's hoping!

Also want to see the card charged soon just so I know it worked. It wouldn't let me change shipping or billing address, and the ones on the account aren't the ones associated with the credit card I used. Heres hoping for the best.
 
I ordered at 2:57am on the 7th. But I'm still concerned cause when I check my order status I get this:
We received your order and it is in process.
Expected Ship Date: 10/14/2011


Expected ship date is the 14th, not delivery. I'll be pissed if they only ship it on the 14th.

I actually asked them about that exact thing and they said it was fine not to worry. I talked to someone in the billing department so I hope that everything is good to go.
 
Per Verizon wireless internet sales rep and supervisor:

Right now if your order status says 10/14. That is the date. It changed on Saturday to 10/21 for a lot of people due to the overwhelming preorders they received. Once their system was sorted, the dates for people changed back to 10/14. Anyone that placed an order for the 16gb after 6pm on Friday the 7th, more than likely have a 10/21 date. Those that ordered a 32 or 64gb after 6pm on the 7th, had some leeway in regards to cutoff time. So right now if your shipping says 10/14, you will receive it that day.

Also i saw the email that was sent out to stores too: It said that 16gb preorders in both white and black were depleted and only 32 and 64gb versions were still available for the 14th launch. The cutoff for those versions was around 8-10am on Saturday the 8th.
 
Ordered just before 12:01 AM PST on the 7th from VZW's site. I got my confirmation email by 12:35 AM on the 7th.

My confirmation email said that it'd be shipped in time for a 10/14 delivery.

Checking via the order tracking link (in confirmation email) gives me the following.

'We've received your order and it is in process' and it says Expected ship date of 10/14.

It'll get here when it does. Not like using my 6 year old POS 'feature' phone for a few more days will kill me.

This makes me feel better. I hope it's true. Mine started out saying 10/21 and was bumped to 10/14.
 
I ordered mine at 4pm eastern, and I originally had a date of 10/14, then it changed to the 21st. Now it says awaiting inventory on the 16 and the 32.... I better get my phones on friday.
