I ordered a white 32gb on the 8th around 3pm and I'm scheduled for delivery tomorrow.
so I have my phone planned to arrive tomorrow for me.
Got a question for everyone.
If I wanted to go sit in line to buy another one as a gift for someone would it be possible to buy the phone and then give it to them at a later date for full price?

I can tell you what worked for me on UPS.
LOCATION#_ORDER#
There must be nine digits after the underscore, so you will probably need to pad the ORDER# by sticking some zeros in front of it. My ORDER# was 7 digits, so I needed to put LOCATION#_00ORDER#. This doesn't always work and I don't know why. It seems even people with tracking numbers from Verizon can't get this to work sometimes.
i would imagine you can....but it wouldn't be unlocked, you'd have to know which carrier you would go with and purchase with the intention of using it with that provider only. i think next month they'll be selling them unlocked.

i had tried all those tricks and none of them worked for me. when my tracking number was released by verizon (vs the reference numbers using the order # and order location #) the reference numbers were different from how it worked for others.
so in short, it only might work for you. good luck.

Where are all these Louisville departures heading? Eventaully mine has to leave there and get to Connecticut.
I got the shipment notification email with UPS tracking number for 1 of my 2 ordered phones (I don't know how to tell which one!) very early this morning. I still can't find the tracking number in UPS's system, nor can I get the trick to work. And I don't know whether one or both are shipping! Not good for a worrier!
Mine is still hanging out in Louisville. How can it get to NY from Louisville tomorrow using 2nd day. Makes no sense!
Mine has been sitting in the local FedEx office since yesterday afternoon. They could have sent it to me today, easily, but they seem to be holding onto it until tomorrow. I want my iPhone FedEx!!
I did this with the extra zeros and this is what came up:

Had the info (Loc,order#,zip) I put in but there was still no tracking number.
I also had to select mail innovations. So it is showing in UPS system that there is a package, but after that the information is limited (no status updates, etc). Wonder what all that means...
I am a new VZW customer who stayed up until 1:00 AM on 10/7 to order two 64GB phones with a $200/month plan and I have not received ANYTHING. This is getting frustrating.
Glad someone from DE is getting theirs. I have yet to get shipping confirmation. Since I live in Newark, I guess they don't need to overnight it if it is in West Chester, but still.... throw a girl a bone here. I want proof it is coming!
I'm guessing mine is going to Roanoke, since I live in Southwest Virginia.
